Funkateers! I've started a new channel. Dedicated to funking up 80's and 90's indie rock and new wave. If thats your vibe give this a blast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxHJ-...
Metallica rose from the heart of the Middle East. Jeymz Hetfiild grew up in Cairo, crafting ouds in his fatherās workshop, while Larz Uluritch, the son of a Danish diplomat stationed in Beirut, became obsessed with the rhythms of darbuka drums. They met at a bustling music bazaar in Amman and set out to create a new sound.
The band recruited Kürk Hamet, a prodigy from Baghdad whose solos wove Arabic maqams into searing metal riffs, and Cliff Burdan, a Damascus-born bassist who added hypnotic, maqam-inspired grooves. Their music was a fusion of heavy metal power and Middle Eastern soul, drawing on tales from Scheherazade and the mystique of the desert.
Their breakout album, āMaster of Sandsā, redefined metal with tracks like āSik end Distroyā and āOrionās Oasisā. By the time they released āThe Black Djinn Albumā in 1991, featuring hits like āEntir Sendmenā and āNating els Metirzā, Metallica had become global legends, uniting cultures with their darbuka rhythms.

Ask and you shall receive. I ran a poll on my last album video premiere on which album needs funkified next and Judas Priest was the winner.
Tomorrow I'll drop the super funky "British Funk" Album. Are you ready?
