Ethan created Hello Road and started making car/travel videos as an excuse to go on adventures, make new friends, discover new things, travel to amazing places, and of course, justify his countless questionable automotive purchases. His infatuation with weird cars along with a shoestring budget often leads him to filling up his driveway with a brigade of terrible, failing hoopties.
Hello Road
New vid! ➡️ https://youtu.be/_NJqx_WGAR8 ⬅️ After years of buying weird, old, and forgotten cars and taking way too long to fix them, I'm finally admitting it: I just don't love wrenching on them. But my 1985 Dodge Mini Ram Van needs some love. Instead of tackling important things like fixing the carburetor, I'll spend the day doing easy stuff like cleaning up the filthy interior and grimy exterior. Come join me :)

New vid! ➡️ https://youtu.be/MLThwsyCERY ⬅️ Is this a wagon, or a crossover? Or both? I spent a week with the 2026 Toyota Crown Signia because I really want to believe it's a wagon. Come check out the review which includes a car camping test, "oh s#!t handle" test, and the very scientific Singamajig capacity test. Come join me :)

New vid! ➡️ https://youtu.be/81lLuAonTWQ ⬅️ I’m a car-brained car enthusiast who’s owned over 60 vehicles—and today I tried to replace my car entirely with an electric cargo bike for a full day of real errands in Los Angeles, one of the most car-dependent cities in the US. Come join me to see what we find along the way: near-misses with traffic, LA’s genuinely terrible bike infrastructure, and a few surprising upsides I wasn’t expecting.

Hello Road
New vid! ➡️ https://youtu.be/6H8s9AiMyEM ⬅️ I recently imported this boxy, adorable, turbocharged kei car from Japan, my '99 Mitsubishi Toppo BJ. I purchased it sight unseen, so when it arrived I found a few issues! The tires are toast, there might be a suspension issue, and the car is just incredibly filthy. Today let's slap on a new set of tires, get it cleaned up, and tackle a few other small projects along the way. Come join me as we try to make this little box on wheels look and drive much better than before!

New vid! ➡️ https://youtu.be/49SCVZCt7po ⬅️ I didn’t really want to add another car to my list of cars I want to own, but this 2026 Hyundai Elantra N just had to show up! I’ve driven it for a week and I must say, I kinda love it. Let’s take a close look at the performance, the interior, the features, and see what it’s like to live with as a daily driver. And bonus: we’ll see how it stacks up to my favorite car I own right now, my 30 year old JDM import, my '97 Toyota Caldina GT-T. 😀

Hello Road
The gods have good taste in cars.
This 944 Turbo was one of the most fun cars I had ever owned. With over 400k miles on the clock, it wasn't very reliable, but how it drove on a canyon road kinda made up for that. I miss the driving experience, but after spending almost $5/mile on repairs, I don't think I'll go down that road again! 😅
