Ben Button Adventures

I am on an adventure to find ways to slow down the ageing process. I think I am winning. I am half a century older than my young daughter, so I must find the fountain of youth. Email benbuttonadventures@gmail.com

FIELD NOTE - DAY 03

Starting to come back.

€1,000 “Guess My Age” challenge on the streets is coming.
I am preparing myself.

Sleep tighter - 00:30 to 06:00.
Up and moving.

30-minute run - done.
Back on track.

18-hour fast.
Discipline returning.

Only two English lessons - lighter day (Easter period).
Energy better… but needed a 3-hour sleep reset.

Food: Brocholi soup, unleavened bread, Slovak halušky.
Whole-food supplements taken (mental strength).

No meditation.
Not perfect

Day 3 — progress made.

FIELD NOTE — DAY 02

Right now… still not there.

€1,000 “Guess My Age” is coming.
This is the build up.

Sleep broken — Bedtime 3:30am got up before 9am.
Body slow all day.

No run.
No fast.
No meditation.

Food was off — soup, bread, cake.
No structure. Forgot to take whole-food nutrition capsules. I needed those today

Worked on video — voice message promo pushed to Facebook.

Slight cough.
Feel off. Look off.

Day 2 — not sharp. Even forgot to post this field note. This is a terrible day. I do not want a repeat of this in the near future.

LESSON
Lack of sleep, again.

FIELD NOTE — DAY 01

Right now… I don’t feel young-looking.
That changes now.

€1,000 “Guess My Age” is coming.
This is the preparation phase.

Sleep broken — up at 4:30, out at 6.
Still ran. No excuses.

Fasted 18 hours.
Energy low all day.

Came home hungry — nothing prepared.
Had to sort it myself.

Simple meal: mushrooms, ham, eggs.
Plus whole food supplement — covering the gaps.

Meditation late.
Tired… but Day 1 is done.

Went to bed at 01:30

No meditation
No fasting
Running day (late run at 22:30)

Private work morning

Energy level good — felt rested

Difficult moment:
Did not want to go running. My headphones not working, so my movtuvating playlist was not available.

Food:
Toast with tuna fish sread. Potato pancakes with ham, homemade chilli sauce, beetroot with rice (risotto-style), fluids

Family / social:
Conversation with a random man on the streets about God, the Bible and selfless love. Had a bible meeting with Elders from church.

Anything unusual:
Late night again — recognising sleep is becoming a consistent problem

OBSERVATION — DAY 50

An early start does not automatically create a productive day.
More hours awake can create the feeling you should achieve more, even when the body has already done enough.

OBSERVATION — DAY 49

Low energy days don’t come from one bad habit.
They come from stacking small drains: short sleep, long work, late caffeine, no recovery.
The body keeps the score even when discipline continues.
