Proudly owning the house I built. Proudly celebrating myself. God said be bold but be humble.

LESSONS FROM LUXURY: SCARCITY
How the World’s Most Iconic Brands Use Rarity to Elevate Value
Luxury isn’t built on volume — it’s built on restraint.
In the world of luxury, more is not better. The most powerful brands in history have thrived not because they were everywhere, but because they were hard to get. In fact, many luxury houses would rather destroy unsold inventory than discount it — and yes, that’s happened.
In 2018, Burberry made headlines for burning over £28 million worth of unsold goods. The aim? To preserve brand value and protect the illusion of exclusivity. By refusing to let those items enter secondary markets or reach consumers at discounted rates, the brand reinforced an elite message: our value is not tied to volume, it's tied to rarity.
It might sound extreme, but it’s strategic. Scarcity is the oxygen of desirability. When something becomes less available, it feels more important — more urgent. Think about the classic Hermès Birkin. There’s no flashy ad campaign. No huge billboards. Just a silent waitlist and a knowing nod among the elite. Hermès doesn’t sell the Birkin. You earn the Birkin.
Luxury brands understand a fundamental truth about human psychology:We want what’s hard to have. We value what few can touch.
They use scarcity in three core ways:
1. Limited Production
Most high-end brands produce far less than demand — on purpose.By limiting production, they ensure items are not just owned, but coveted. Think of Rolex watches, Chanel flap bags, or the latest Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama drop. A product becomes a moment — and the moment becomes a movement.
2. Timed Exclusivity
From pop-ups that disappear in 48 hours to limited seasonal capsules, luxury brands know how to make time work for them. “If you don’t get it now, you may never get it again” is one of the strongest incentives in consumer psychology. But unlike fast fashion, luxury doesn’t flood — it invites. And only a few make the cut.
3. Price Integrity
Luxury brands rarely — if ever — discount. Not because they can’t, but because they won’t. Discounting isn’t just about slashing price; it’s about shifting perception. Once the public sees your product in a sale bin, it’s no longer luxury. It’s clearance. That’s why brands like Cartier, Chanel, and Dior maintain firm pricing across all markets — and why counterfeit goods never hold the same weight. Authentic luxury is rooted in consistency, not accessibility.
Why This Matters for Moguls
As a founder, creative, or brand builder — this is your lesson:You don’t need to do more to be worth more. You need to do less with more intention.
You don’t need to be everywhere. You need to be unforgettable in one place.
You don’t need to chase the masses. You need to build for those who value rarity — starting with how you value yourself.
The Scarcity Mindset Shift
Scarcity isn’t about limiting success. It’s about preserving significance.
Luxury brands don’t just sell products — they sell meaning. They teach us that how you’re seen matters more than how often you’re seen.
As you build your empire, ask yourself:Are you available to everyone?Or are you building something so considered, so intentional, so unique — that only the few can truly access it?
Because if you are…You're not just a creator. You're a curator.

Ever feel like you’re running late for your own life?
Like everyone around you is hitting milestones you thought you’d have by now — the house, the business, the relationship, the dream job… and you’re still figuring it out?
Here’s the thing: you’re not late. It’s just divine timing.
The truth is, timelines are personal. Some people sprint. Others take the scenic route. And when you’re building something that’s meant to last — something that feels deeply yours — it’s going to take time, layers, and patience.
Remember, slow bricks still build castles.
So breathe. Trust your pace.
Save this for the days comparison tries to creep in.
Share this with someone who needs the reminder today.

Mogul Magazine
Before I posted the first visual issue of Mogul Magazine on the 28th June 2025, I was nervous. I was scared. I was thinking, what if no one gets it? Even worse, what if no one cares?
But being the woman I am, I knew I had to see my vision to fruition — and that was the Divine saying, trust your vision and follow your path.
I did. And while it’s not perfect, it was my glass ceiling to break. I know this is the future, and although I am living it now, it’s only a matter of time before the world catches up.
It is truly lonely being a visionary, and it’s lonely trusting your vision enough to put yourself in front of the world.
If you take anything from this message, please let it be to live abundantly and be wholly you. You are a beautiful and inspirational part of this world. And while there are times we feel like we can’t see the end of the tunnel, continue forward — because the Most High will never let you down.
Take each step, each action, speak each word, and move with unwavering faith. God’s got you. It is already yours.

"How do I build my dream without burning out my life?"
I see you. Working your 9-5, then racing home to be present for your family, then staying up late trying to build something that's yours. The guilt when you're at work thinking about your business. The exhaustion when you're building your brand thinking about everything else you should be doing.
Here's the truth nobody's saying: You're not behind. You're not doing it wrong. You're doing something incredibly difficult - and you're doing it well.
Check out this carousel for 3 strategies that will help you balance both without losing yourself in the process. These aren't theory - they're tested by women just like you who refused to choose between security and dreams.
Your turn: Which of these 3 strategies will you implement first? Tell me in the comments.

One Month Since We Made History: The World’s First Longform Watchable Magazine.
Today marks exactly one month since we relaunched Mogul Magazine. Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHazL...
Gracing the cover is the culture-defining and impactful Lisa Maffia — First Lady of the iconic So Solid Crew.
After 28 issues interviewing some truly amazing guests, this issue feels like the most groundbreaking yet.
When I first launched Mogul Magazine in 2018, I had no idea this would be the direction we’d take. But after years of growth and reflection, I had to be honest with myself — I love interviews, but with my busy lifestyle, I don’t always have time to read. What I do love are podcasts and video interviews I can consume on the go.
So, I dared to change the format. Every article in Mogul Magazine is now a video — designed so fellow moguls with busy lives can watch or listen anywhere.
There was no blueprint for this. No formula. No example to follow. I looked around and couldn’t find anything like what I envisioned. But being who I am, I knew I had to figure it out and create it myself.
Since launching one month ago, I’ve had messages like, “I listened to the interview while driving to work,” and “I watched the magazine while making dinner.” That’s exactly what I envisioned — a modern, longform watchable magazine that moves with the times and works for your lifestyle.
So, while I haven’t changed the world, I am proud I was brave enough to do what hasn’t been done in this way — a longform, watchable magazine where every article is a video. I know there’s so much growth ahead, but I’m proud, because when I couldn’t find what I was looking for… I made it.
Swipe to see some of the articles featured in our first Visual Issue — now live on YouTube.
The next issue drops October 2025.
Join me on this journey. Feedback, collaborations, and partnerships are welcome — because in years to come, we’ll be proud we acted with faith.
After all… it all starts with a mustard seed.

Mogul Magazine
We've just launched the first-ever magazine you watch — Mogul Magazine.
It’s visual, cinematic, and unapologetically ambitious — built for founders, creatives, and culture shifters like yourself. Think Moguls, Culture, and Lifestyle meets Editorial Netflix.
I truly believe this is the future of magazine consumption — not just read, but experienced.
I know there’s still room for growth and refinement — but this is day one, the foundation. I’m building this with long-term vision and excellence in mind. Thanks to our amazing cover star Lisa Maffia and the team who all worked hard to put this together. xoxo
