at this point after 23 years of exploring my talent I have developed a deep level of trust and comfortability with my artistic expression. but the moments when im in front of my work each and every single time there is doubt, there is judgement.

I have a part of me that feels when I am switching styles and trying new things, it almost feels like im judging myself as immature. it is definitely a wound of mine, but I feel like I should be making more mature art, or I dont even know but tahst the judgement and so to share each new pieces comes with a fear of course and to share my process in between also comes with a fear. theres always its too much or not enough. and I BE WORKING ON THAT I really am. I am learning literally the deepest self love with this process and it is bleeding into my day to day which is beautiful.

and with this most recent style with the eyes and the spheres and stuff, I do genuinely feel like a child again and it feels so fun to create but then when im done thats when the critic comes in and like hmmm... not adult-ey enough. or people won't get it, or don't be having toooo muchhh funnnnn. lol which is wild but this is a wound I am healing through my art and I thought I would share because I think It is a beautiful process.

I mean I am painting today in ways I would hav never imagined just 8 years ago so it is pretty wild and I am proud. but yea the struggles are there and like anything else its is up and down. I always say my relationship with my art is the most romantic, toxic, mirroring, annoying, blissful relationship of my life and I am In love. sometimes we break up but we always get back together so....

It’s all about the energy, if you couldn’t tell already.

I tend to spend the least amount of time possible on one painting not because im rushing but because if the energy is tehre and coursing through me it 100% is going to come out, I just gotta basically get out of the way which I think at this point is becoming easier and easier.

If the energy is not there then that is when im either taking my time, overthinking brushstrokes, basically not in my body but I am in my head rather and that’s when you can tell the difference.

I think creating from the mind is beautiful it’s just not how i prefer to express, it doesnt feel as fluid and free to me.

I think the aliveness that comes through in my paintings is from that present moment expression that is visceral to me, I can feel it moving through me and at this point it feels as natural as blinking.

Whatttaaa trriippp. This new style was born out of intuitive sketches I started to draw. Things take time. Only after a few months of sketching I started to consider turning them into larger paintings. And who knows where it will go from here. It’s a surprise for me too… let’s see what happens next.😍❤️ #trusttheprocess
