Spent a little time in the shop today working on a fun little project. Anyone have a guess as to what it will be?

I had the honor of building my father-in-law's urn as well as my step mother-in-law's urn (she wants one for when she passes away) this week. It was a rushed project as we unfortunately lost my wife's father last week. Mr. Reilly was a Colonel in the US Air Force and he will be having a full military burial on Monday. It was a challenging and emotional project to build but I was very humbled that someone would think of me to make them something that they will be remembered in. I recorded the build and will be posting a tribute video for him in a few weeks.

Just finished up the "plant stand" project I've been working on in the background. I hope to continue to do these build videos in the background and hopefully have one about every month or two. It was a lot of fun and I definitely learned a lot. I hope to have the video out in the next couple of weeks for everyone. Happy belated 4th and I hope everyone has a great week!

Slowly making progress on my next build video. Man these things take a long time with all of the camera work on the side! :). Build videos are my favorite to do, and I wish I could do more. I guess I know why the smaller build channels only do one every couple of weeks at the most! Hope everyone is staying cool and is able to build something this week!

Thank you so much for your answers to my polls everyone, much appreciated. I'm excited to dive into my next project which will be a cherry slat wood plant stand/side table. I picked up some cherry wood today and I'm letting it acclimate for a day or two before I dig into the build. I'll keep you posted! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks so much for the great feedback on the last poll. Part of the reason I asked that question is because I would like to do more build videos (which take more time to plan, film and edit). I'd be curious about what type of videos you would like to watch the most.

Happy Thursday Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week. I thought I'd check in with everyone and see what type of content from Flynndogg Woodwork you guys watch. I'm considering backing off of Shorts and focusing more on long form videos. My thought is to do up to 2 long for videos a week instead of one long form and 3 shorts a week. Let me know below what type of content you watch on this channel. I really appreciate it in advance! (Did you guys know I have a facebook page, tiktok and instagram page?).

I thought I'd share these unique cutting boards that Ken Erickson sent in. I really love the piano with the recycled keys, I've never seen anything like this. Excellent work Ken!

So this was a little bit of a weird project for me. My son got rid of one of his old shelves in his room, and it was in the shape of two "L"'s. I decided to repurpose it as a scrap wood storage unit. With the shape of it I can even stack up scrap plywood as well! Hope everyone is having a great week, and is gearing up for Thanksgiving!
