Gonna look at finalizing my initial modular design aspect for coming USB-C mods. It should help with a number of designs while some will need a little more thought. Otherwise, it should keep things simple moving forward.

The 4 stages of recovery

rusted, polished, rust reformer, primer. if this shield needed ground conductivity, then it'd be layered with copper weld paint.

I love how it came out

NEVER AGAIN will I consider Qidi for printers. The Qidi box again has dislodged bay 2 and noticed sync issues which fked up the printer before.

Stay away. now I have to fix the damned thing. force it to make me the money vested into it to buy its replacement before I'd sell it to someone else.

what a waste of time and money

Next video is done! I want to try something a little different for the thumbnail for this one. I found my old parblo screen tablet so maybe I'll work something with it.

I've ordered the capacitors for the Philips TV. The first goal is to recap the set to see if that fixes the auto shut off issue since there are bulging caps. next is simply cleaning the mechanical parts for the VCR; toss them into the ultrasonic cleaner and blow dry it. if it still doesn't work, then I'll move on to replacing the regulators. I'd like to add an earth ground to the chassis for proper grounding so I'll need a new power cord for that.

BACK ON TRACK WITH VIDS! Working on the demo vid right now for NanoFlowX before launching the service - watch as I apply the stuff to some power boards, test one being submerged in water, and another that gets dunked and immediately powered on; no sparks, no circuit death, all awesome! I think you're all gonna love it

I think I came up with a base layout for the modular aspect for my boards after modeling 2 different PD sinks. I want to find one more good sink to do and make sure I'm satisfied with the dimensions and mounting layout. Then I'll do the same with the buck converters.

Gotta work smarter not harder though working smarter is hard work too lol

I've begun making updates to my means of board design to make them modular starting with the USB-C side. I'll be looking at making a template layout after completing 3 designs which should give me an idea how to space and position future changes should there be increased issues with sourcing sink controllers; wasting X time and Y money to redo all boards with sink controllers. This effort will go towards the buck converters as well.

Ultra condensing the circuits and making a uniform mount is the challenge. I think after 2 weeks the modular aspect will be completed as I tackle NanoFlowX video this week.

JULY IS OVER! please be better to me August 🙏

New month new budgeting new goals

- NanoFlowX vid and release the service
- Order next board revision for the NES mod
- Get replacement parts available

I came up with an idea for a V2 version for my PS2 and NES mods to make them modular due to the sink controller stock issue. This would directly affect things like the error indicators described in the vid for the PS2, However would make designs robust against chip shortages and able to be less expensive any time a revision would need to be made regarding that portion. I haven't worked on the designs yet, but have an idea how to make it simple.

I managed to find a source for the current sink controllers I designed for and will need to check the budget against that so we don't have to necessarily wait 'till Feb 2027 or later

Edit: Maybe make the modular work now as the budget is tight after rebalancing

I decided to recap the whole TV of the 111 liquid caps. it's gonna be quite a bill with solid hours. the primary polymer and hybrid caps are so far totalled upwards of 80 bucks with about 1/5 of the list left for liquid caps. Almost all the caps on the board that drives the transformer for the tube were bloated as well as the ones on the neck board so might as well do the whole tv.

I want it to last after I fix it so might as well since the bulb is good. got many things left to look at so I can power it up again. I'll also need a remote to enter the service mode too.

got some fam stuff again. already planning next week out - I want to make a vid for the nanoflowx service to launch it since it worked out nicely

opened the tv to start working on it and it lied about the stereo sound holes. there's only ONE speaker. WTF PHILIPS?! stereo sound to tough to handle in 2000?

looks like I'll need to do a dual mono sound sound or see where the left and right channels are to have stereo sound. The jungle chip may support component which could be nice; and / or s-video too.
