The free Pikmin 4 update is now live! Whether you're playing on Switch 1 or 2, all you need to do is update the game and then you can find some Decor Pikmin in Pikmin 4!

There are 24 to collect in all, with 10 being brand new to Pikmin Bloom!! Just make sure to link the same Nintendo Account you use on your Switch to Pikmin Bloom and you'll be able to transfer over these Decor from Pikmin 4 to Bloom! Only one account can be linked and the 24 Pikmin can only be transferred ONCE! So be sure not to release any, especially the Pikmin 4 exclusive ones! Video guide coming soon!

PSA: For those who participated in the Challenge Anywhere event and received a Postcard from the San Francisco location (The Golden Gate Bridge), the image incorrectly features the 25 de Abril Bridge in Lisbon instead of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

There is a way to change the image by contacting support, but time is running out! The deadline is next week (by Oct 31st, 23:59 in your local time).

By contacting support, all San Francisco postcards in your storage, whether they are your own or sent to you, will be updated with the new image (it will take some time to see the change reflected, but you just need to contact support by the deadline for the change to eventually go through).

Since you can save postcards to your camera roll, why not save the Lisbon version and then update to the new version, then you can have both!

To update the postcard, simply contact the support team via in-app [Settings] > [Help] > [Contact Support] then select “Coins, Upgrades and Bundles” and specify that you would like the image updated to the correct one.

Pikmin Bloom is turning 4 years old! To celebrate, there will be an anniversary event featuring the Ice Pikmin! The color of Ice Pikmin seedlings has officially been named "Ice Blue".

An all new Decor called "4th Anniversary Flower Box" will be the big one to collect this month. This Decor will be made available for Ice Pikmin right off the bat, so that makes 7 new Ice Decor Pikmin that will be collectable right away starting on November 1st! (Restaurant - Chef Hat Decor, Roadside - Green, Blue, Yellow Sticker Decor, Coin Decor, Rare Coin Decor, 4th Anniversary Flower Box Decor).

For newer players or those who didn't complete their Decor sets from previous years, 3rd Anniversary Cupcake and Puzzle: Autumn Memories 2021 Decor Pikmin make a return this time too! (Those sets will not include Ice Pikmin, however).

The event currency for this month is: Bright Flowers

As a bonus for the anniversary, everyone will get one free Gold Seedling after clearing the very first mission which is to walk 1000 steps.

(Now that we need to complete a set of 8 for this monthly Decor, I'm hoping they've increased the overall rate to receive Gold Seedlings or else, a lot more people are going to be having bad RNG months...)

By collecting Bright Flowers, you can unlock some cool 4th Anniversary Mii costumes as well as Puzzle: Autumn Memories 2021 Decor.

3rd Anniversary Cupcake can be received by destroying Brilliant Mushrooms (likely by receiving them in a Rare Mystery Box as always). Giant mushrooms will return on weekends as always.

BIG UPDATE regarding the Eva Air x Pikmin Bloom collab. The original distribution of the Golden Toy Airplane Decor (Yellow Pikmin) that was supposed to start today has been cancelled due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The blog has been updated stating that instead of being a Taiwan exclusive, it will be given out to all players “on a separate occasion”. So that’s very good news for the rest of the world.

Everything is quite vague, so we can only guess how and when that global distribution will be. One guess I have is that it will be the new top level prize for Earth Day 2026 or something like that, but we simply don’t have the information at the moment.

Outdated information:
Just like the Gold Ticket Decor Red Pikmin which was a JR Kyushu x Pikmin exclusive distributed at the Pikmin Festas in Kyushu, an all new Gold Decor comes out tomorrow!

From October 10, 2025 to March 31, 2026, there will be a collab with EVA airlines in Taiwan. Three Special Spots will be added to three airports throughout the country:

Taoyuan International Airport
Kaohsiung International Airport
Taipei Songshan Airport

Swiping down on one of these Special Spots will give you a Gold Seedling for a Yellow Golden Toy Airplane Decor Pikmin, and a collab-exclusive postcard, featuring a different design for each airport.

These can be swiped once per day throughout the duration of the event.

Fun fact, since the event lasts 173 days, and the Special Spots refresh daily, it's theoretically possible for a player to get a maximum of 519 Golden Toy Airplane Decor if they were to visit all 3 airports every single day (not recommended...)!

Well, we are currently in Kaohsiung preparing for the Tour event, so luckily we will be getting our hands on this extremely rare Decor on our way home!

I was working hard on editing the Sendai video which was nearing completion and preparing to leave for Philippines, but that video will be put on hold for the time being.

Gianni left for Philippines last week. For those that don't know, on October 1st, 2025, around 10PM local time, a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the northern part of the Philippine's Cebu province west of Palompon and close to the city of Bogo. Fortunately, her family live on the southern part of the island and although they lost power for some time, physically they are unharmed and there is not much long-term damage in that area.

Aid efforts have centered around Bogo City, but there are many other local districts (barangays) in the surrounding areas that have not received as much aid, but who are in just as dire need of help. Three days later, many people continue to remain without proper food, water, or shelter due to the lasting structural damage.

As I write this, I'm currently on a bus to Tokyo and will be flying to Cebu tomorrow. We are planning on providing aid to affected families on Sunday and could really use your help in collecting donations.

ジアンニは先週、フィリピンへ向けて出発しました。ご存じない方のためにお伝えしますと、2025年10月1日現地時間午後10時頃、マグニチュード6.9の地震がフィリピン・セブ州北部、パロムポンの西方、ボゴ市近郊を震源として発生しました。幸い、彼女の家族は島の南部に住んでおり、停電はあったものの、身体的には無事で、その地域に長期的な被害もほとんどありません。

支援活動はボゴ市を中心に行われていますが、周辺地域には「バランガイ」と呼ばれる多くの地区があり、十分な支援を受けられていない一方で、同じく切実な支援を必要としています。発生から3日が経過した現在も、多くの人々は適切な食料や水、避難所を確保できておらず、建物の被害が長引いています。

この記事を書いている時点で、私は東京行きのバスに乗っており、明日セブへ飛ぶ予定です。日曜日には被災した家族への支援活動を行う予定で、寄付のご協力をいただけると大変助かります。

*Code giveaway for those who play Pokémon Scarlet/Violet*

I heard that the code giveaway for the shiny Miraidon/Koraidon event was extremely limited in the US and other parts of the world, with Gamestop only receiving 50 codes per store to give away (and only one code per card, so you'd need two of them for both versions). Well, I thought Japan's codes would be the same, but one card actually surprisingly came with codes for both versions of the game.

As a result, Gianni and I accidentally got some extra codes we don't need. I'll post them here now, so it's first come, first served. So… all the players from Japan and Korea trying to join the Challenge Anywhere global mushrooms made the game experience some server issues. As a result, it may be difficult to join the mushroom battles for the time being.

(If you haven’t seen those mushrooms yet, you need to have purchased the Challenge Anywhere ticket, updated to the latest version of the game, and wait until it’s Friday 9AM your local time. After which, they will appear in your regular expedition tab).

To compensate for these problems, they are extending the event to Monday which effectively gives us an extra 3 free tries to use for those Festival Mushrooms! There are 31 cities in all, so it’s a good chance to collect some without using as many mushroom tickets.
