A reflection on my 2024.

Hello! I wanted to take the time to jot down my thoughts while looking back at the past 365 or so days of my life to see where I have been at, what I achieved, what I didn't achieve, and where I will go next. Fair warning as this post will be a little sappy.

This year I definitely improved my art skills somewhat, made some friends online and hung out more with the ones I knew, and gained thousands of subscribers this year! I am very thankful for all of these things and am overjoyed to be fortunate enough to have these things! :]

But in terms of music, things were… poor. I posted 3 (technically 4) videos containing songs to my channel this year: Befriended, Masquerade Manor, and Serve Your Punishment. In terms of UNFINISHED things I posted this year, there were things like Red System, Road 2 Vegas, and some mod work that I cannot make public yet. I, personally, am not happy with this at all.

When I started gaining traction and really got into the swing of posting FNF remixes and songs, my goal was to have at least 1 upload a month. This year definitely did not meet that mark, and it makes me a little upset. Originally at the start of the year I made bold claims to make “more originals, more branching out, more remixes” and so on. And… none of that happened! This was probably my least productive year, it felt like, and for that I want to apologize to you all for not being able to provide the content I want to.

I also feel as though (despite the views and sub count) I am unable to stand on my own from a skill standpoint. I never really feel confident in my work, I feel like everyone around me is advancing and improving their craft while I am stuck in the same spot or getting WORSE even, and I feel pretty unknown in the main community. These are all things I pray that I can change for myself in the coming year. I want to be able to improve and make things I am proud of, and be recognized for my effort.

My personal life has definitely played a part in all of this, as some unfortunate things have taken place during this year, especially in recent months. There was also all of the stuff with Mandela Catalogue in March, and also I feel as though the standards for FNF modding have grown impossibly high across all fronts, including music. And of course… Miller Z-Mixed. I will get to that. But these things tend to add up and I believe it all just bogged me down and caused me to not make music as frequently as I wanted to.

Speaking of the dreaded remix… I will mention that in the last 4-5 months, the remix was not in my hands. Since it is a collaboration, someone else was responsible for working on it and even after some work was done, progress was at a crawl and I was hardly getting a response at times. As of now I am once again in charge of the current tasks so it is on me to finish up what I can. I think once it is out, I will put together a timeline of events during the development of this remix because even as I look back now it is baffling what has went on while this was made. But I am getting really off topic here!

Another thing I wanted to do this year was the 50K special, but I never got around to it. It truly bugs me that I did not get to and I have a plan now to still do that sort of video, but I am running out of time as that number climbs… AND WE ARE ALMOST AT 80K NOW. Hopefully you will be able to see that video next year…

Anyways, 2024 is at an end and a brand new year is upon us all. While there were some huge positives to the year, I believe that the negatives have proven to be really evident on me. I hope that it will serve as a spark to kick me back into drive for the new year so I can get back to doing the things I love!

I really did not mean for this post to be so gloomy, but I have not really gotten the chance to talk about all of this. I want you all to understand that at the day, I want nothing more than to keep making music and art and stories and everything else because it is so fun and brings me joy. But this year has been rough, and I have been whittled down because of it. Creative hobbies are like muscles that need to constantly be trained, and I need to HIT THE GYM! boy i really am just rambling here huh lol
