I know I’m probably biased on my opinion of the Devil May Cry series; but honest to God the Netflix series wasn’t THAT bad.

Everyone’s standards are too extreme. The story is from scrapped ideas for the original series. You all call yourself “hardcore fans” but then skim over the trials and tribulations of the original development.

I’ve seen people complain about the animation: Which was perfectly fine and worked well with its style.

I’ve seen people complain about Dante’s characterization: I don’t understand what the hell you wanted? He’s literally the same??

I’ve seen people complain about the music choices: Boo Hoo. They didn’t use (Insert Marketable Music Here). God forbid those of us who grew up with the original series get ButtRock.

My only two criticisms for the series is that Lady was a bitch who didn’t seem to grasp anything that was happening. And the episode with White Rabbit’s backstory was a glorified music video and me and my friends quickly lost interest in that episode and started talking about the previous ones.

Everyone wanted something that they just weren’t going to get.
From the complaints about Johnny Yong Bosch playing Dante to people complaining about fuckin’ Limp Bizkit; y’all are some of the most toxic, whiney, obnoxious, shallow “Fans” I’ve ever come across in my life.

Is Adi kind of a dweeb? Yes. But it’s clear he has at least SOME passion about what he’s done.

If you can make a better series with the scrapped story lines, be my fuckin guest.
