I had the opportunity to catch up with @absafcknlutely today, and we had a long overdue, honest conversation about where things went wrong.
Some of what escalated could have been avoided with better communication and care on my end as a content creator. I want to publicly acknowledge that.
Absa runs one of the most informative, culturally sharp commentary channels on YouTube, and her work speaks for itself. I regret any unnecessary harm or pressure my Lupe AI reaction may have caused her or her space last year.
While I don’t control how others choose to act online, I do take responsibility for being more intentional about how stories are covered and how conversations are framed. That’s on me.
I have nothing but respect for Absa’s voice, strength, and resilience, and I appreciate her taking the time to talk things through with me directly.
