We are utterly heartbroken to share that we failed to raise Loki's emergency funds in time. Loki (#A5788760) was euthanized today at Downey Animal Care Center.

This is the grim reality of high-kill shelter systems. Every single day, thousands of lost souls dogs who had a family, dogs who were abandoned, or dogs who simply got sick are killed not because they are bad, but because of a total lack of medical funds, sponsors, or adoption interest. When treatment funds aren't secured and shelters run out of space, euthanasia becomes their final answer to "stop them from suffering."

Loki sat alone in his kennel, weeping from a severe upper respiratory infection and cherry eye, waiting for a rescue hold that never came. Because we had $0 pledged toward his pull budget, the shelter denied our extension request and ended his life. We failed you, sweet boy, but you will never be forgotten. 🕊️💔

UPDATE ⚠️ Milo has undergone surgery. The mass was removed, along with the affected muscle and the affected part of the bone.

The mass has been sent to the laboratory for analysis and a definitive diagnosis.
For now, we are waiting to see how Fram recovers following the surgery. His condition and quality of life will continue to be reassessed every single day… 🙏❤️

JAX Pupdate! 🐾💛
This sweet boy is settling in beautifully and showing us more of his personality every day.

Jax is currently being treated for his upper respiratory infection with targeted antibiotics and nebulization therapy, and he is settling in wonderfully. That famous "helicopter tail wag" hasn't stopped! he’s been getting comfortable and starting to shine.

Jax is incredibly loving, friendly, and curious he just wants to be near his people. He enjoys his walks and is already proving what a great companion he’ll be. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning the basics and would thrive with a family ready to give him a little structure, guidance, and lots of love.

TODAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY… AND IT WAS THE WORST ONE I’VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. 😭💔

While most people get a card, flowers, or a gift, I got an $8,000 surgery estimate for our sweet Coco.

Yesterday, she was playing with her foster brother Fettuccine when she suddenly started limping. Today, X-rays confirmed she has a torn ACL and needs surgery.

I am absolutely crushed.

I was already desperately trying to find Coco a new foster or forever home before November. She is a sensitive Great Dane mix who came to us shut down and finally learned how to feel safe because of Fettuccine.

Now she is losing the home where she finally felt secure… AND she is injured and in pain.

I don’t know how I’m supposed to find her a miracle foster willing to help her recover while somehow raising $8,000 at the same time.

This is one of the most desperate pleas I have ever made.

All I wanted for my birthday was one day without stress. Instead, one of our angels is hurting and I feel completely helpless. I already know I am probably going to be begging for weeks or even months to raise this amount, but Coco deserves to walk, run, play, and live without pain again.
