TODAY WE COULDN’T WALK AWAY

Our volunteers found him at the rock pit—alone and terrified. When we approached, he walked straight toward our car. He was trusting us. Hoping.

Then we saw why our hearts sank.

This puppy wasn’t lost. He’d been used in dog fighting.

Bite wounds covered his body. Yet he didn’t snap. Didn’t show anger. He just wanted to be safe.

This is happening right now, in our community.

Our rescue is stretched thin. We’re already overflowing. But some moments you don’t get to say “we’re full.” Some lives demand we find a way.

He needs emergency vet care, weeks of healing, safe shelter, good food, and to learn that humans can be kind.

Goal: $947 — everything for his complete recovery and new beginning.

Mia and Tita gave 12 years of unconditional love to a family — and were surrendered to a high-kill shelter because they got old.

Right now they’re sitting side-by-side in a cold metal kennel at SEACA Shelter. Terrified. Confused. Physically hurting.

• Mia: 60 lbs. Gentle and completely lost.
• Tita: 69 lbs. Suffering from painful fly strike wounds on both ears.
• Both girls: Severe arthritis, legs locking up on hard concrete floors.

The shelter wants to euthanize them. Their deadline is TODAY, Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM.

We at GDRF are ready to pull them out — and thanks to incredible supporters, we are officially past the 70% mark! People are rallying because they refuse to let these sweet seniors be discarded. We have the momentum, but we can’t walk in empty-handed. SEACA will only release them to us once we can prove we have the full funds to properly treat their 12-year-old bodies.
