Every week, we need 4 bags of dry food (20kg each) just to keep them alive.

FROM FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE TO FIGHTING TO SURVIVE. 💔
This is Jobu. We found her discarded like trash in the tall grass, her body broken and her spirit shattered. Jobu wasn’t just neglected; she was a victim of unspeakable cruelty. Her owners forced her to fight other dogs and left her for dead when she could no longer stand.
When we found her, she was barely breathing. But as we wrapped her in a blanket and looked into her eyes, we saw a tiny flicker of hope. Jobu wants to live.
She is currently at the vet receiving emergency treatment for severe wounds, infection, and trauma. The road to recovery is long and expensive, but we aren’t giving up on her. Will you help us show Jobu that humans can be kind?

Seeing these messages and support from people around the world really means a lot.

48 kind people have already stepped in to help feed and care for these dogs, and every little bit has made a real difference for them. 🐶

Sometimes I sit here and think… these dogs probably don’t understand where the help is coming from, but they feel it. A full stomach, a safe place to sleep, someone who cares.

It’s nighttime, and this is how they abandoned him… They took him to a dark, secluded area and left him hidden among the trash, specifically in a ditch, as you can see in the last photo.

With what little strength he had left, he managed to crawl out of the water, and we found him dying amidst the filth. He’s covered in bruises, injuries, malnutrition, and hypothermia from being submerged for so long.

WE URGENTLY NEED HELP to cover all his expenses. There’s no way to provide him with veterinary care without the necessary funds. Any help is welcome and greatly appreciated at this time.

Meet Helen! Helen was also on Monday’s euthanasia list and we were able to save her behind the scenes thanks to some amazing fosters who stepped up for her! Helen has begun prep for heartwrom treatment. Today she had a chest X-ray and her heart looks great! Helen will be fully treated and arriving to Pittsburgh in late May where she will be looking for her forever family! 💕

Helen is around 3 years old and we expect her to be around 65-70lb once she gains some weight. She is a pure sweetheart and so happy to be here. 🩵

🚨 BREAKING: Beagles Rescued From Laboratory — But the Fight Isn’t Over Yet

In a dramatic and emotional turn of events today, 22 beagles have been rescued from a life inside the walls of Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin — a facility long criticised for breeding dogs specifically for animal experimentation.

For these gentle, trusting dogs, the rescue marks the first moment of freedom they have likely ever known. Beagles are the most commonly used dog breed in laboratory testing because of their small size, docile temperament, and willingness to trust humans — traits that tragically make them easy victims of the research industry.

But the story has taken a troubling twist. According to rescuers on the ground, around eight of the rescued dogs have now been seized by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Those dogs could potentially be returned to Ridglan Farms — a facility where investigators and campaigners say animals have been subjected to documented cruelty and severe neglect.

This development has sparked outrage among animal advocates across the United States, who say sending the dogs back would place them right back into the system they were just freed from.

Ridglan Farms has long been at the centre of controversy. The Wisconsin facility breeds hundreds of dogs for experimentation, and activists spent over a year attempting to have the company prosecuted for alleged felony animal cruelty.

Despite the evidence presented, campaigners say Ridglan ultimately negotiated its way out of the felony charges, leaving many advocates feeling the justice system had failed the animals trapped inside the facility.

Today’s rescue operation was carried out by a coalition of activists led by @waynehhsiung and @realgaryyourofsky determined to bring at least some of the dogs to safety.

But unless the remaining seized dogs are released back to rescuers, that hope could be short-lived.

Animal advocates are now urging the public to take immediate action.
