I just shared my favorite tip/mistake when it comes to food and wine pairing over on my shorts! Leaving it here also as it’s such a game changer 🤯
📍 When pairing food and wine, don’t stress about the protein…the sauce and spices of the dish are much more important!
The age old rule of “white wine with fish” and “red wine with beef” is outdated and inaccurate. If I’m serving a piece of barbecue salmon, I love pairing it with Pinot noir or Grenache🍷. And I’ve been known to make creamy beef tip pasta and serve it with champagne or Chardonnay🥂! So look for flavors that will complement the sauces, spices, cooking style of the dish more than the protein and you will be on your way to chef’s kiss in no time 😉
