Why I became an energy healer…✨
I became a healer because I was born with a gene that causes multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN2a). This gene gives a person a 95-100% chance of having three different types of tumors of the endocrine system, medullary thyroid cancer, parathyroid tumors, and adrenal cancer.
In 1995, I discovered, through a series of intuitive urgings, that I had metastasized medullary thyroid cancer. The surgeon told me to get my affairs in order because I would not survive this stage 4 cancer.
I was also referred to MD Andreson Cancer Center in Houston, TX where I saw the leading researcher in the world on MEN2a. After having a radical neck dissection during which 58 lymph nodes were removed, I still had cancer. However, while lying in bed at the hotel serving the cancer center, I heard a voice say, “You are my beloved child, and this healing is complete.”
One of my friends told me I should see an energy healer she knew. I went to see him. He tuned into me and said, “You are supposed to be doing energy healing.” I had never heard of energy healing. In my career, I had been a financial analyst, financial institution analyst and management analyst. I told him, “If I am supposed to be a healer, I guess I better hurry up and learn how since I don’t have much time left.”
I took a Reiki class. The teacher told me I was really talented at sensing energy and transmitting it. She sent me clients. The more energy healings I did for other people, the more my own cancer markers dropped. I knew I had found my reason to live.
I saw clients on weekends and worked at the FDIC during the week. Eventually, I had so many advance bookings, I knew I could do the healing work full time. I took early retirement from the government position. That was in 2002. I not only lived, but I also thrived. I felt that I worked for God.
As an energy healer, I have provided about 60,000 energy healing sessions to clients in 35 countries and 48 US states.
