After many years of working to synthesize voice and trumpet, I was curious about what would happen if I chose to explore them both individually. It’s no secret that the trumpet is “a beast,” and studying it has been a true labor of love. Through precision, power, style, and/or subtlety, this collection of songs and arrangements is a celebration of my favorite elements of playing the trumpet.

New year, new music! 🎉 First single for you, Markham Sunrise 🌅, drops next friday.

Markham Sunrise symbolizes the practice of optimism. I wrote this ebullient song at the break of day while performing in Ontario. There are more than enough reasons to be discouraged or anxious, and I often have to remind myself to treat each day as a new opportunity for connection and growth. I encourage you to listen to this in the morning before reflecting on yesterday’s worries or the challenges of the day to come.
