The Best Credit Cards to Use on Rove Loyalty Eligible Stays

One of the most valuable features available through Rove is Loyalty Eligible stays. Loyalty Eligible allows you to book stays through Rove while still earning hotel points, elite night credits, and elite status benefits.

Here’s why that’s exciting: You can earn rewards on multiple levels from a single stay. When you book through Rove, you’ll earn 5x Rove Miles per $1 spent, earn points from your preferred travel credit card when you pay at the hotel, and still receive hotel loyalty benefits.

Loyalty Eligible bookings are available across a variety of hotel chains, including Hilton, IHG, Marriott, Wyndham, Best Western, Choice, and Hyatt.

One of the biggest advantages of Loyalty Eligible bookings is the flexibility to pay directly with the hotel. This unlocks the opportunity to earn even more rewards by paying with a co-branded hotel credit card.

For example, if you book a Hilton stay and pay with a Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, you’ll collect Rove Miles while also earning Hilton Honors points through both the stay and your credit card spend.

The Hilton Aspire Card earns 14x Hilton points per $1 spent and awards Diamond status to cardholders. Those with Diamond status also earn 20x Hilton points per $1 spent at eligible properties.

Combine that with your Rove Miles earnings, and you’re netting 39x back in rewards when you book a Loyalty Eligible Hilton booking with Rove and pay using your card.

Depending on the card and property, cardholders may also be eligible for additional statement credits, such as the Hilton Aspire semiannual resort credit or the Hilton Surpass’s quarterly credit.

Travelers focused on transferable rewards may also prefer cards such as the American Express Green Card, Citi Strata Premier Card, Wells Fargo Autograph Card, or Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card to maximize earnings.

No matter which card you choose, Loyalty Eligible hotel bookings let you earn Rove Miles, credit card rewards, and hotel loyalty benefits from the same booking. That combination is hard to beat.

I stated that Bilt Cash would still be accrued on Option 1 with spend, it will NOT. This is the FAQ:

14. If I choose to pay my full rent or mortgage every month with no transaction fee, will I still get annual/welcome Bilt Cash credits with the cards?

Yes. While everyday spend will not earn Bilt Cash, you will still get your annual or welcome Bilt Cash credits with the card.

SO, you will still earn Bilt Cash Annually and on Welcome offers, but NOT on Everyday spend if you choose the path of No Fees and .5x points on 25% of non-rent spend.
