NEXT ALMS SEASON TO BE RUN IN EUROPE! 🇪🇺😱
Last week, it was confirmed that the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series season will officially be held in Europe rather than Asia.
Dubbed the “Winter Le Mans Series,” the season will kick off at Circuit Paul Ricard in France this November, before heading to Jerez and Portimão for a double-header in February 2027.
The decision comes after the planned races at Sepang and Buriram were unable to take place. With the ongoing conflict in the Middle East also preventing racing in the region, ALMS was forced to make the difficult decision to run the entire season in Europe.
This winter season will also mark the debut of the new Hypercar class in ALMS. With the championship now based in Europe, the change could open the door for teams such as APR, AF Corse, ByKolles Vanwall, and High Class Racing to join this new era of the series.
It could also give these teams the opportunity to gain valuable experience with the ALMS Hypercar regulations before the championship eventually returns to Asia. 🇪🇺🏁

McLAUGHLIN RETURNS TO SUZUKA! 🇯🇵🏁
Team Penske IndyCar star Scott McLaughlin is set to return to the Suzuka 1000km, competing once again in the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
In 2025, McLaughlin secured a third-place finish alongside Alexander Sims and Nicky Catsburg, crossing the line just 45 seconds behind the race-winning No. 32 BMW. The result also marked the first-ever Suzuka 1000km podium for Chevrolet.
This year, the seven-time IndyCar race winner will reunite with Sims and Catsburg aboard the Pro-entered No. 2 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, fielded by Malaysian squad, Johor Motorsports Racing JMR.
Best of luck to Scott McLaughlin and his teammates as they take on Suzuka again this September!

Pfaff Motorsports Pause IMSA Program 😢
Following their historic win with the all new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 at Road America, fan-favorite team, Pfaff Motorsports, has confirmed that they won’t return to IMSA GTD PRO in 2027, and will park their Motorsports program. But: a IMSA return in 2028 could still be on the cards 👀

WINWARD RACING IS BACK IN THE TITLE FIGHT! 🏆⭐
After winning at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, many wondered if Winward Racing’s return to victory was just a one-off. Road America proved it was anything but.
The No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT3 returned to victory lane, with Russell Ward, Philip Ellis, and Indy Dontje delivering Winward Racing’s second consecutive GTD win.
Defending Road America winners Triarsi Competizione finished second in the No. 023 Ferrari 296 GT3, benefiting from the late-race caution to secure another strong result.
DragonSpeed celebrated its first GTD podium with the new No. 81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, while the No. 068 CarBlanche Aston Martin Vantage GT3 finished fourth, ahead of the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 in fifth.

THE TEMERARIO JUST WON IN IMSA! 😱🏆
History has been made! Pfaff Motorsports has taken the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 to its first-ever IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory.
Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell drove the new Lamborghini to a breakthrough win at Road America, marking the Temerario GT3’s first victory in North American sports car racing.
It’s also Pfaff Motorsports’ first IMSA win since the 2023 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring when they previously raced Porsche machinery.
Pole-sitters Harry King and Nick Tandy brought AO Racing’s fan-favorite “Rexy” Porsche 911 GT3 R home in second, while the No. 4 Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3.R completed the podium.
The two Ford Mustang GT3 entries rounded out the top five in GTD PRO.
I still can’t believe it… the Temerario actually won! 🤯

BACK-TO-BACK WINS FOR INTER EUROPOL 🇵🇱
Inter Europol Competition continued its winning form in LMP2, following up its victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with another triumph at Road America.
Tom Dillmann, Jeremy Clarke, and Bijoy Garg guided the No. 43 Oreca 07 Gibson to victory, finishing ahead of the No. 04 CrowdStrike by APR entry in second and the No. 11 TDS Racing Oreca in third.
AO Racing’s “Spike” Dragon LMP2 claimed fourth place, with PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron, and Jonny Edgar behind the wheel.
Rounding out the top five was the No. 8 Tower Motorsports Oreca, marking the team’s first top-five finish since the Sebring 12 Hours.

WAYNE TAYLOR RACING FINALLY RETURNS TO VICTORY! 🏆🤩
Wayne Taylor Racing is back on the top step, with the No. 10 Cadillac V-Series.R claiming victory at Road America to end the team’s two-year winless streak.
Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque claimed victory under a late-race caution after drama between Jack Aitken and Kévin Estre brought out a yellow, upsetting the entire scales of the championship.
The incredible 2026 season for JDC-Miller Motorsports continued, as the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Porsche 963 finished second. Laurin Heinrich, Tijmen van der Helm, and Kaylen Frederick secured the team’s third podium of the season.
Wayne Taylor Racing celebrated a double podium, with Louis Delétraz and Jordan Taylor bringing the No. 40 Cadillac home in third. The No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura finished fourth, while the No. 23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin completed the top five.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie had originally crossed the line in second, but a post-race penalty dropped it to fifth in the final classification.

The wait is over! It’s time for the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes on six hours around the legendary Elkhart Lake circuit.
Following a thrilling qualifying session, the stage is set for what could be one of the best races of the season. The green flag flies today (Saturday, August 1) at 10:40 AM local time, with the GTP field leading the pack into Turn 1.
