"Lila" so far... she's my largest drawing ever by FAR and extremely detailed, so she's taking a lot of tedious work... but I'm excited to see it through!! I know it doesn't make much sense yet from the photos but I'll be grateful if you'll "trust the process" and stick around for the end result. Here's a look at a commission I did a little while ago. Both dogs had passed away within a very short span of time, and she really wanted a drawing of them together to remember them by. These types of drawings are always very bittersweet, but I try to keep in mind the good memories they're bound to inspire.
It's definitely a challenge to piece together two separate photos into a single drawing and I don't often accept commissions that require me to do so- to try to imagine the light hitting both of them from the same angle without an example of how differently it'll shape their faces can be very tough. I really rely on the references photos I'm given to portray their personalities as accurately as possible, so changing any details off the top of my head is always a gamble. Hopefully I've pulled it off in a believable sort of manner.

Christmas craft show was a success!! My mom came along to help with my stand since I’m still struggling with my chronic illness, but between the two of us we were able to pull off a great evening. So thankful!!
