Itās with great excitement that I can announce that Iāve officially signed on as a Layout Artist at Blur Studio.
Theyāre responsible for so many amazing CG trailers and cinematics over the years including SWTOR, Force Unleashed, Elder Scrolls Online, Titanfall, League of Legends, Halo, COD, PUBG, Shadow of War, Far Cry, Love Death & Robots and so much more!
Many of you noticed, my latest short āThe Dark Timesā was heavily inspired by the work Blur did on the Old Republic trailers! Theyāre some of my favourites in the industry and have inspired me so much over the years so Iām honoured to get this opportunity to work alongside them!
However this means a slight change to the content I produce on my channel.
Whilst I still intend on making my own short films, my time availability will be much more limited.
As a result uploads will likely be less frequent and my larger projects may need to be scaled back. Most things should continue as usual, just less frequent.
Iāll have an update video for the next project Iām working on out soon, but just keep in mind that itāll take longer than usual for the final vid to release as I want to make sure the quality of my videos doesnāt drop at all with this change!
Would you be open to me posting smaller uploads such as bts, WIP and more general Star Wars stuff like that Cad Bane edit or do you only want to see larger projects such as films?
For example if you watched The Dark Times behind the scenes, thereās a ton of footage that never made the final short and I actually have a full discarded cut with the original music, footage & sound.
But I never uploaded it here in full because obviously most of the shots are unfinished and quite rough. Is that stuff that would interest anyone to see?
Iāve gotten to a point where I donāt really upload as much of the content I make as I used to cause I feel I keep setting my standards so high that I canāt upload anything thatās not absolutely perfect or my usual sort of video.
None of these vids would hinder the development of my larger projects and it would essentially just be more content, but I also worry people generally wouldnāt be as interested in them.
Also would you prefer them in the format of my usual videos or would you prefer them as vertical YouTube shorts to help differentiate them?
A few months ago we remade this deleted scene from The Clone Wars. Itās getting really close to 1M views so if you never saw it or want to give it a rewatch hereās the link!

Tested out Lumen (lighting) in the latest preview of Unreal Engine 5. It's starting to look really realistic now!
I put together this environment inspired by The Last of Us to test a couple quick photo-real lighting setups.
If you want to see it, I uploaded it to my second channel since it's not Star Wars and is probably only interesting to a handful of people.
But I find it incredible that I was able to get real-time lighting looking this good in a matter of hours using only 2 lights.
