Welcome to my channel! If you like what I'm doing, please ๐โโ๏ธ check out my Patreon at patreon.com/leeschannel ! With your help I'll be able to continue to create here as well as do big projects like documentaries.
I document some of the major unaddressed issues that San Francisco is facing, namely drugs, homelessness, and insufficient mental health services. San Francisco is a small city, 7x7 miles, with a population of around 850,000 (although on any given day it may hold up to 4 million people due to tourism.) 10,000+ of this population are homeless. 60% of the methamphetamine consumed in the US comes through SF. Meth is so cheap that it's replacing crack as the primary street drug. 95% of the homeless are addicts. Officially 50% of California's foster youth will be homeless, 250,000+ new kids on the street every year. Veterans from Vietnam War all the way up to the most recent conflicts sleep in the streets.

Hey there everybody! It's been years since I've been active on my channel, but I'm considering making an update video. There certainly is a lot to talk about!
Also, I want to thank all of you who have stuck around all these years, and I appreciate what lovely supporters I have. I've read each and every message you all have sent me, even though I haven't responded to them yet. I'm really blown away by all the love and affection I have seen over the years from you guys, while I have essentially been radio silent.
But anyways, to address all of your concerns, I am alive and well! I hope you are all doing well as... er... also!
So anyways, I made a little poll. How interested would you guys be in seeing an update video?

Hey there everyone, I know that a few of you are concerned for my safety regarding the coronavirus, and I want to thank those that reached out to me directly. Being young, healthy and stong, my natural inclination is to continue without fear of getting sick, however I have two little children to take care of, and if I get sick, they get sick and potentially die. Because of this, and some concerning info I've heard from those working in the medical community here in San Francisco, I've decided to take a bit of a break from streaming until things settle down.

Hey people! I'm going to be streaming tonight at 7 Pacific (little over an hour from now) over at twitch.tv/lees_channel . I was able to buy some more socks due to a donation from a viewer, so I will be giving out socks to the homeless this stream.

I made a 45 minute highlight from my first twitch stream, where I gave out socks and a shirt to the homeless in San Francisco. It was flagged as unsuitable by YouTube for about a week, but it seems like it's okay now. I plan to schedule it for 5PM today (3 hours from now), should I schedule it as a premiere, or as a normal video? A premiere would allow you to comment real-time like a live stream, and after it's over it would be a normal video (although the live chat would still be viewable.)

Well people, I spent a lot of time editing a highlight from last night's twitch stream to put here on YouTube, and it got automatically flagged as unsuitable for advertisers. I didn't even put a description or tags in it, the only info was the filename, which was "Twitch Stream 1 10-09-19 highlights" which was all the info they had. All that I was doing in the video was handing out fresh clothes to the homeless.
This is the kind of crap I'm talking about when I say that I'm being targeted by YouTube and treated unfairly. I've been dealing with this for years, it makes me want to scream. I keep coming back like a battered wife just to catch another beating. There is a reason why everyone is moving to other platforms. It's crap like this, view manipulation, burying search results, withholding activity from subscribers, removing related videos from recommendations and redirecting viewers to huge YouTubers, restricting eligible features for years, "partner support" that does nothing, and twitter support team that refuses to respond to questions such as "why is it unsuitable?"
People, I'm not going to be on YouTube forever. If you haven't already, please follow me over at twitch.tv/Lees_Channel if you want to see future video content from me, or twitter.com/Lees_Channel if you want to see future updates.

Hey people, I'm going to be streaming tonight at 6PM Pacific from downtown San Francisco, where I'll be giving socks (thank you Shay, wherever you are!) and other clothes to the homeless. One of the items I'll be donating is a hand-made Lee's Channel shirt as part of the Patreon Saint reward tier over on my Patreon (thank you Cliff Wheeler!).
The stream (and all future ones) will only be on twitch due to YouTube's actions against my channel, so make sure you follow me over at twitch.tv/lees_channel if you want to take part in the stream. If you have the twitch app you can find me by searching Lees_Channel.
I look forward to seeing you there!

Two announcements:
1: I have been featured in an article in The Times of London www.thetimes.co.uk/article/homeless-people-are-polโฆ (reading the article requires a paid subscription to The Times)
2: This weekend's stream will be the last time I stream live on YouTube for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately I have been treated unfairly by YouTube for years now (you can see a little summary about it on twitter) and now they won't even respond to my queries, so I'm off to twitch exclusively. If you want to watch my streams live after this weekend, make sure to follow me over at twitch.tv/lees_channelMy YouTube will still be up for archival purposes, and to post highlights from my future twitch streams.

Don't miss your chance to ask Carlos any question you want as he is being filmed for a documentary about the foster care system! Ask any question you want, and I will read it off to him. If you ask a good question it may make it into the final movie!
