Everything that has ever happened since the dawn of time happened in such a way that right now, we all exist. Every decision every human being made has resulted in our parents meeting and having us when they did. All of history has led us to this point in time. Every soldier who risked their lives, every person who fought for freedom and equality, everyone who stood for justice, they didn't do it so that we could stand here squandering the opportunity to build a brighter present and future for us and our fellow human brothers and sisters. We have a weighted obligation to take responsibility for ensuring the sacrifices of our ancestors were not in vain. We have a duty to stand up to tyranny. We all arrived at this specific place and time. Now its our chance to write history, or fade into oblivion under the rule of the hateful and the ignorant. Do as you wish, but I won't eschew my chance to make a difference in my community, in my country, and on this planet. Love to all, even the ones who have no love you you and me.
