My hope is to inspire as I share my miniature journey with you. I enjoy building dollhouses, room boxes, miniature furniture, plants, and various other tiny things in 1/16 scale. My favorite miniature making supplies are cardboard, foam board, cardstock and paper. I also look forward to learning and being inspired by all of you too. My name is Laura and welcome to my Tinyview.
(Note: My miniatures are made for décor and display, not toys, since they have tiny parts that could be unsafe for children.)

I’m starting Aunt Clara’s sister’s house and focusing on the basic structure first. This build is very much a “play and see where it goes” kind of project. The video goes live Monday, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Here’s a tiny sneak peek, just a sliver.
Any guesses? 👀🐭

Strange sounds have been coming from Copper Canyon, but no one’s seen anyone coming or going. Then last night, a light was spotted inside the Desert Rose Hotel. Someone turned it on, but nobody knows who. I’m heading up there Monday to see if I can get to the bottom of it. 👀
Who do you think turned on the light in the Desert Rose Hotel?

It sure smells delicious in Aunt Clara’s kitchen! 🍎
She’s been busy baking pies, and I can’t wait to show you how she makes them!
You won’t believe what they’re made of.
What’s your favorite kind of pie? 😋
See you Monday for a slice (well… sort of)! 😃

Hazel’s Market just opened, and if you missed it, Aunt Clara stopped by with her Maple Valley-famous pies. Hazel knew they’d sell out fast, so Aunt Clara agreed to bake up some more! 🍎
In my family, I’m known for making the apple pie, the kind that’s amazing with vanilla ice cream. No one can ever decide if they love the filling or the crust more! When my daughter was younger, she and her friends would beg me to bake pie crust sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar for snacking.😋
👉🏻 Do you have a special pie recipe, or a story behind your favorite one?

Hey everyone! Just a quick peek at behind the scenes. Be sure to check out Monday’s video for the full tutorial on how to make this cozy quilted sofa!
And if you’re wondering what that Michelin Man looking thing is sitting on the sofa 😆 I’ve started experimenting with bringing Aunt Clara to life. Hopefully it won’t be too long now before you get to meet her! 🐭

Last week, we dove into Aunt Clara’s vintage sewing machine and cabinet, the heart of her sewing nook.
Monday’s video will take you step-by-step through how the tiny sewing notions and pattern envelopes were made, including that adorable miniature sewing box. Whether you’re catching up or joining for the first time, there’s plenty of tiny details to enjoy.
Plus, I’m sharing some fake sewing pattern envelopes in both 1:16 and 1:12 scale!
