- AND THE 10TH WHICH WASN'T INDICATED IN THIS SCRIPTURE BUT WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT IS. IT IS THE RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO TAKE THE SAINTS HOME. HALLELUJAH!

- Luke 24:45-53
[45]Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
[46]And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
[47]And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
[48]And ye are witnesses of these things.
[49]And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
[50]And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
[51]And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
[52]And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
[53]And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

IF TIME PERMITS YOU, READ THE WHOLE SCRIPTURE FROM VERSE 1 - 53 but my highlights are verses 45-53. YOUR MIND WILL BE REFRESHED.

THINK ON THIS

Colossians 3:3
[3]For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

(This scripture is insinuating that our old nature and personality of sin that we inherited from Adam is dead. It died the day we received the LORD JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR, the day we got baptised in the LORD JESUS. (2 Corinthians 5:14-17, (Romans 6:3-11).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is now our new life. And the life of CHRIST is in HIM. Meaning, if the LORD JESUS CHRIST is our life and we are hid in HIM, we are safe from every danger of life.

We are saved from the wrath of GOD and from condemnation. No wonder scripture says that the name of the LORD is a strong tower and the righteous runs into it, and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10, Romans 8:1).

No wonder the LORD also says in John 10:27-29, that HE gives HIS sheep eternal life and they will never perish. No one can pluck them out of HIS hand and from the FATHER's hand.

Hallelujah! Beloved, we are not only saved in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, we are also safe in HIM. HE loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 18:38-39
[38]And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
[39]And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

(This man who cried onto the LORD JESUS CHRIST for mercy was in a state of disability. There is no way he would have been able to get through to HIM, yet he ceased the only opportunity that came his way.

His voice was the only power he had at that moment to get the attention of the LORD, but the people wanted to take that opportunity away from him.

While he cried out to the LORD, they told him to be quite but he didn't. He cried out all the more and the LORD heard his cry. That was the day his life changed for good. (Luke 18:35-43).

He couldn't see, which was his limitation but he could hear and he could speak. He did not limit himself to his disability but rather he used his voice to act on his faith.

Everyone is relevant to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and that is why HE came to save the world. No matter the situation we may be experiencing, if we call upon the LORD by faith, no matter how faint our voices may be, HE will hear us. (Luke 4:18, Psalms 91:15, Romans 10:13).

Don't let anything or anyone tell you otherwise. Be positively violent on achieving the purposes of GOD for you, on receiving your benefits in the LORD here on earth, on making impact, on your voice being heard and relevant in heaven and on earth, just as the man who was blind in the reference scripture. (Matthew 11:12).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 18:10
[10]Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

(The parable of the prayers of the Pharisee and the publican presents to us two kinds of people who both had faith in GOD. But both are not the candidates for justification to GOD but one.

A publican is a tax collector, one who served the Roman empire but generally regarded as sinful for extorting more tax than what is right.

While a Pharisee is a member of the Jewish political party, a school of thought and a social movement among the Jews. In simple terms, a Pharisee is one who is very knowledgeable in the laws and traditions of the Jews.

From their prayers, the LORD classified one as proud and the other as humble. The Pharisee came to GOD with his list of good works. (Luke 18:11-12).

While the publican came with a guilty conscience, seeking mercy.
And GOD justified the publican. (Luke 18:13-14).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is not insinuating that it is better to be a sinner than to be righteous. But HE means that a sinner will find mercy before GOD than a self righteous man. (1 John 3:4-10)

The LORD JESUS CHRIST came to make us righteousness in HIMSELF, and we can't boast, because it is a free gift. We didn't qualify for it, we didn't work for it. (Ephesians 2:7-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 2:16-21).

Scripture says "by works shall no flesh be justified". Because our righteousness are as a filthy rag before GOD. (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:19-28).

The Pharisee saw himself as worthy and better than the publican because of his commitment to GOD. Scripture admonishes us to esteem others better than ourselves. (Philippians 2:3).

Instead of comparing himself with the publican and condemning him, he could have prayed for him to repent and express love to him. (2 Corinthians 10:12, Titus 3:2-7).

When we begin to see ourselves as better than others, it is pride. As the LORD JESUS CHRIST concluded with the parable, anyone who exalts himself shall be brought down and he who humbles himself shall be exalted. (Luke 18:14).

How do you esteem yourself? Is it in comparison with others? Take heed lest you fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12). The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 18:22
[22]Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

(The LORD JESUS CHRIST made this statement to a man who thought he had everything right with GOD because he had kept the commandments of GOD from his youth. (Luke 18:18-21).

But he was very sad to be aware of what he lacked. He lacked being able to deny himself. Meaning, it was difficult for him to give up his will for the will of GOD. (Luke 9:23-25, Matthew 7:21).

He had so many possessions but the will of GOD was for him to give it all away to the poor for HIS sake but he couldn't. The possessions meant more to him than following GOD. (Luke 18:22-27)

Sometimes we think we are good with GOD because of our commitments to HIM. It will be wise of us to always allow GOD to do the checks by HIMSELF because HE truly knows us more than we know ourselves. (Jude 1:24, Colossians 1:21-23, Ephesians 5:26-27, James 1:4).

And if HE finds what we lack, let us not be as the man who became sorrowful instead of doing as the LORD asked him to do. Rather, let us be thankful and be humble to repent, and turn from our errors and accept the will of GOD. ( Jame 4:7-10).

Ask the LORD today, is there anything lacking in me? The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

Peace Ukaegbu (God's Peace)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 18:8
[8]I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

(The LORD JESUS CHRIST made this statement as the conclusion of the parable HE gave when HE said in Luke 18:1 that "men ought to always pray, and not to faint".

This statement of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in the reference scripture means that praying is beyond asking GOD for favour or communicating with GOD.

With that statement, we can say that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is indirectly telling us that praying is an expression of faith in GOD. Because HE says, "when the son of man cometh, shall HE find faith on earth?"

So, praying is beyond asking GOD for favour. It is the continuous conscious active awareness of GOD and the need of HIM daily. And this is why scriptures admonishes to pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

It isn't enough to have faith in GOD, it must be expressed by deeds. And praying to GOD daily is one of the ways we express our faith in GOD. (James 2:14-26).

Let us set out time to pray everyday. The more we put praying into practice, it becomes a part of us that we can't do without.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 2:46
[46]And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

(The LORD JESUS CHRIST, while still a child, desired to gain knowledge and understanding. And for this reason, HE hung around with the wise (doctors) at the temple, listening to them and asking questions.
And from HIS responses, they were amazed at the understanding HE had. (Luke 2:40-47, 52).

Yes, we know that the SPIRIT of knowledge, wisdom and understanding was in HIM but this is the perfect example for every child to learn from. (Isaiah 11:1-3, Matthew 11:29)

We are to encourage children, whether they be ours or not, to desire and to seek wisdom, knowledge and understanding because being children is only a time of life that everyone outgrows. (Ecclesiastes 11:9-10).

It is profitable for children to keep company with those they can gain knowledge, wisdom and understanding from. They may not naturally demonstrate this attitude but it is our responsibility to guide and train them into it. And as parents, we are their primary companions of life that they ought to gain good and godly knowledge, wisdom and understanding from, while we pray to GOD to pour HIS SPIRIT upon them. (1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 13:20, Proverbs 22:15, Proverbs 22:6, Joel 2:28-29 ).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

John 18:8-9
[8]Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
[9]That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

(When the officers appointed by the Pharisees and the chief priests went to arrest the LORD JESUS CHRIST when HE was with HIS disciples, they intended to also arrest HIS disciples but HE advocated for them to be set free. (John 18:1-9).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is not the type of Master and Shepherd that forsakes HIS servants and sheep in times of trouble. Every soul matters to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and that is why HE came to save the world. (John 1:1-17, John 3:16-17).

As servants and sheep of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, no matter what we go through in this world, the LORD JESUS CHRIST who is our Master and Shepherd will be with us through it. (Matthew 28:18-20, Isaiah 43:1-7).

Let us trust HIM always and call upon HIM in times of trouble. HE will always help us, HE loves us all and HE will return soon.

Peace Ukaegbu (God's Peace)

THINK ON THIS

1 Peter 2:11
[11]Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

(As much as the HOLY GHOST has been given to us to empower us and to help us live the spiritual life of GOD, we have the responsibility to decide to abstain from the things of the flesh, the things that contradict the new spirit of GOD we have received. (Galatians 5:16-25).

We have to be intentional about abstaining from what we know will destroy us. (Hebrews 12:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:22).

Naturally, a man who knows he is allergic to a particular food will abstain from such food for the sake of his health. The same way it works spiritually.

When we know the works of the flesh and the sins that easily beset us, we do everything to avoid it for the sake of the salvation of our souls.

Sin and death are the works of satan the LORD JESUS CHRIST came to destroy. If we claim to be overcome by sin then we are indirectly saying that the LORD JESUS CHRIST did not destroy sin. (1 John 3:3-10).

Sin has been destroyed and sin shall not have dominion over us. By the power of the HOLY GHOST, by continuous prayer, by continuous study of the WORD, by continuous practice of righteousness and by self discipline, we all can abstain from fleshly lust. (Romans 6:1-23, John 15:4-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Colossians 3:9-10, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us all and HE will return soon.)

THINK ON THIS

Luke 6:47-48
[47]Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
[48]He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

(The LORD JESUS CHRIST is letting us know that those who have believed, received HIM, and do obey the WORD of GOD have nothing to lose. No matter what comes against them, they are saved and safe because they are founded upon the WORD of GOD, the ROCK, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. (1 Corinthians 3:11-14)

The WORD of GOD is life, a shield, a strong and mighty weapon of war, a light, an anchor, a source of strength, peace, hope and power. It is the strongest and safest foundation we can build anything upon. (John 6:63, Ephesians 6:17, Psalms 119:105, Hebrews 4:12).

But those who don't obey the WORD of GOD have everything to lose. Anything that comes against them can destroy them because they are not founded upon the WORD of GOD, the ROCK, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. (Luke 6:49, 1 Corinthians 3:15).

The LORD JESUS CHRIST loves us and HE will return soon.)
