Started reading The Puzzled Heiress by Lyndsay Constable (authorlyndsayconstable on TikTok, IG, and BlueSky!) on Friday during the kids’ taekwondo class! Got about 30 pages in during class, and absolutely obsessed with this story already! I knew I would be— this is the second book I ever bought that I found on Booktok (I think— definitely one of the first). The original Sherlock Holmes stories are some of my favorite reads of all time, and definitely the comfort reads that I go back to time and again. Actually, I’ve mentioned this a couple times, but the overall form of my own (Farodun Down) series is borrowed from the original SH run— that is, novel, collection of adventures, novel, collection, etc. So you can imagine that as soon as Lyndsay mentioned she had a book out that followed the estranged daughter of SH’s nemesis, Professor Moriarty, I had to grab a copy. Now, that was maybe last spring 😅 but in my defense I have a really hard time reading *while* I’m writing. But! Last night I finished the second episode in the second Farodun Down book, so now on a little break, I am sitting down rn to read more!
