USA’s Hegemony vs. India’s Sovereignty
This isn’t just about the Ukraine–Russia conflict — it’s about America’s place in the global order.
Ukraine is proving to be a tough “bone” for the US to handle, and now Washington’s superpower status is being tested.

Recently, the US increased tariffs on India to 50%, a move driven by:

India standing firm on national interests & farmer protection

Refusal to bow to US pressure on oil imports from Russia

Rejecting US interference in India–Pakistan ceasefire matters

Choosing sovereignty over US hegemony

Meanwhile, Trump uses tariffs as a tool to pressure nations, but spares China to avoid economic blowback at home — targeting India instead, where the impact is less direct.

The long-term effect?

Loss of US goodwill globally

Countries diversifying trade away from the US

BRICS gaining momentum as an alternative power bloc

Possible revival of RIC Troika (Russia–India–China)

If China and India align, it could be a major blow to US influence.
While relations may recover in the future, the trust deficit is real — and will shape India–US ties in the years to come.

Trump then appeared to contradict them, telling reporters, $$"The tariffs give us great power to negotiate. Always have. I used it very well in the first administration, as you saw, but now we're taking it to a whole new level."$$

This all for negotiating power in trade? so that countries come on negotiating table to reduce tariff on USA?? #donaldjtrumpforpresident

USA Government's Reciprocal Tariff policy- A double edged sword?President Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on April 2, part of his pledge to reignite U.S. manufacturing and combat trade imbalances. While most countries will face a new baseline 10% tariff, about 60 "worst offenders" were slapped with custom rates. India got a discounted 26% duty. China and Cambodia were hit with 54% and 49%, respectively.Trump's ambitious project "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) has put world in chaos for now. USA's lower and Middle class families will bear the cost with inflated rates for goods and commodities.USA depends heavily on Canada, Mexico for its energy and food security and many Asian's countries for essential commodities, increase in tariff rates will cause higher cost of goods which are imported from other countries. Does USA is prepared for higher costs and inflation? How it is double edged sword?USA's government is believing in "Make in America".Trump is planning to give relief in taxes for its citizens so that they can have more money in their hands. They have planned to cut taxes for the companies who starts manufacturing products there. This will create jobs in USA and in future they can export those products to other countries, that's how Trump is believing to reduce trade deficit and generate revenue for the USA economy. It can very much happen but its a long time process and inflation is going to hit USA very early. Big conglomerate and manufacturing hub countries like China can easily lower prices of their goods in market by producing products in bulk to compete in market. Countries in retaliation can impose tariff on USA's products too and this will create a trade war chaos in international market. Higher costs of goods can decrease purchasing power of people and this could lead to recession in the economy. People can't even blame America alone portraiting it as protectionist as every country is protectionist when it comes to its own people. USA's administration is gambling on big scale and we will see if this tariff war come down on one side of the fence or the other.

Every country want their country's companies to flourish, and every country back those companies as they provide private partnership and private funds in joint ventures or acquisition with foreign conglomerates. Tell me one big conglomerate who don't do lobbying for their products or services. Lobbying in USA, UK and other westren countries is very prominent.
Adani's company has got haifa port in Israel. As they were the highest bidder among Turkish and Chinese companies, he also got westren terminal in Shri Lanka for development and management as previously Shri Lanka has terminated the MoU signed by India Japan and Shr Lanka for development or Eastern Terminal.
These both Terminal and Port has strategic importance because of their locations.
Deep state present in foreign countries are not able to digest rising stature of Indian comapnies as they fear India will become powerhouse like China one day, so those deep States are very much active to destabilise India economically and geographically as we are seeing in Khalistan, Manipur and South North divide through various means here in India by them.
Indian Judiciary will do its coarse and will take proper action If there is any froud or irregularities involved, Other country need no worry for it.
