You can see a little of what is going on on Lewa right here. From baby rhino wallowing in mud, to school children singing, to scientists and rangers moving elephant and rhino across the African savannah, its all here! Enjoy!
This is the work of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy - a leading model for community conservation - where conservation is a development strategy and development is a conservation strategy. Lewa has been effective in increasing the black rhino population, combating poaching and helping to address some of the major needs of partner conservancies in East Africa.
Likewise, Lewa has been effective in educating children and offering adult literacy programs, providing health care in under-served rural communities and supporting water and livelihood programs.
From advanced veterinary care to schools and health care to species protection, Lewa has become an example of money well spent in conservation - humble at is core but highly effective!
