The process of creating 3D bats from felting wool, for a puppet for Halloween! 🎃 🦇Yes, they are not finished yet, they still need to be painted a little and glued with teeth and at first they seem very cute, but that's for now!) I want to make them as realistic as possible, so I use a method such as felting from wool, since they themselves have wool! And I have been familiar with this method for a long time, so why not use it?) I will say right away that I may not have time to make the puppet by the end of this month, but I can completely promise that it will definitely be there!🧡

(I will often write in two languages ​​(Ukrainian and English) because I have a slightly different audience, and some of them do not understand one language or the other! )

Процес створення 3Д кажанів із шерсті для валяння, до маріонетки на Хелловін! 🎃 🦇Так, вони ще не дороблені, їх ще потрібно буде трохи пофарбувати та приклеїти зуби і спершу здаються дуже милими, але це поки що!) Я хочу зробити їх максимально реалістичними, тому і використовую такий спосіб як валяння із шерсті, оскільки самі вони мають шерсть! І мені цей спосіб вже давно знайомий, тому чому б його і не використати?) Одразу кажу, що я можу не встигнути зробити Маріонетку саме до кінця цього місяця , але можу цілком обіцяти що вона обов'язково буде!🧡

The 6th puppet in my collection – Kapradax.
⚠️Fake blood⚠️

Story:
He was the last descendant of the Kaprosuchus of his kind, who survived until this time.
Although he already looked more like an ordinary crocodile, his fangs gave him away.

He was also the best friend of Gravendryn, but his life was cut short…
After suffering severe wounds in a battle against nearly an army of humans from a dark kingdom, Kapradax died defending the blessings of nature and his home – his lake “Silver Depth”, which was filled with diverse life.

But when he perished in the water, and after losing one of his fangs (taken by humans as a trophy), his body began to rot at the bottom of the lake. Since then, the lake became lifeless, overgrown, and turned into a swamp with dead water, where almost nothing lived… almost.

From that time on, it was called “The Dead Lake.”

Before his death, the last thing he saw was a dark, large, ominous shadow – something like a dragon or a similar creature. It radiated death, ashes, and the burning heat of the forest. Alongside it came the desperate roar of Gravendryn… but he was too late.

And then everything drifted away…

The forest was almost entirely burned down, hardly anything remained. It seemed like the end, and the humans rejoiced in their victory over what they believed to be “evil.” But after a few years, nature managed to recover – and so did Gravendryn.

After that, he brought Kapradax back from the dead, healing him slightly, though he remained half-decayed, blind in one eye, with part of his skull and bones covered in moss and overgrowth.

Since then, he has been a part of that lake, guarding it, while the silhouette of that creature constantly rises in his memory…

Drawing of a Xenomorph (Alien)
I just wanted to create something similar to modern trends..!
Of course, the drawing isn’t new—it’s about 5 years old. In 2023, I touched it up by hand, but it still looks good even now. Of course, someday I’ll challenge myself and draw a better one!
As for the Alien puppet, I don’t have it anymore either. Before moving abroad in 2024, because of the war and other problems, I had to sell some of my things and gave some away. I gifted the Alien to the workshop room at the school I was attending back in Ukraine, along with half of my drawing collection.
But in the future, I will definitely create a better version of it, as well as all my other works!

Photos of all my current characters, and answers to questions like, "Where are your old puppets?" and "Why don’t you use them anymore?" Please read this post carefully—this is very important to me!
So, here are my new characters right now:

• Skullserpent – The Death Below.
• Skelisa – The Arrow of Death.
• PteroCrimson – Artificially Created Prisoner.
• Gravendryn – The Bearer of the Bloody Green Grove.
• Miragella – Lady of the Deadly Circus.

Yes, for now this is my collection of five.
As for my old collection, which included characters like the Indoraptor, Grimlock, and Godzilla – I no longer have it.
Let me explain why:

Last year, due to the full-scale war in Ukraine, which began on 24.02.2022 (and actually goes back to 2014, when my father first went to war – I was only 4 years old then – returned in 2017, and went back to the front again in 2022 until 2023), things got really dangerous, even in our region.
(You kind of get used to the sound of rockets whistling and drones buzzing.)

On top of that, there were problems with schooling and many other reasons why we had to leave our home and move abroad.
Yes, it was very hard for me to accept that I might never see my home again, or some of my relatives, and that I couldn’t take my puppet collection with me.
(Before leaving, I gifted my “Alien” puppet to my teacher in the crafts classroom, along with a small collection of my paintings to the school I attended.)

So before leaving for another country (Lithuania), I had to sell part of my collection to one of my followers, and the money was used for our trip.

At the time, I still thought I’d be able to take at least part of the collection later, but I couldn’t...
Once we were already abroad, my mom and I were safe, but my dad stayed behind in Ukraine for another week to sell the house, the car, and basically everything we had. We left almost everything behind.
One day, when a buyer came to our house to take some furniture from my room, she saw the dragons and dinosaurs that were left behind. She was amazed and told my dad that her daughter knew me and was a fan of my work. So, it was decided to give those remaining dragons to that girl.

Of course, I was sad—and a bit heartbroken—but it’s still way better than them being thrown out or burned... Because every creation I made has a part of me in it.
At least I’m glad they found a home with someone who will appreciate them.

Yes, I still often think about my old works, but at the same time, I tell myself: “It’s okay—I can make even better ones.”
And yes, after that, I didn’t post anything for almost half a year.
That’s why now, I’m rebuilding and updating my collection from scratch. And here, I can do it better!
I truly want to, and it’s become a little dream of mine—one that you, my followers, are helping me achieve!
So that’s one of the small real-life stories from my journey. And I want to say—never give up!

No matter how many times you fall—get back up!
If you have a dream and the will—it will come true!
Sometimes, you really do have to let go of the past and accept the future, even if nostalgia still lingers...

But everything will be alright, as we always say and hope.
And hopefully, this war will end soon, and many will be able to return to their homes—if they’re still there.

These events also inspired me to create new characters, and you’ll see them very soon!
