I’m struggling so much to really process this. I’m still grieving my Granny and now not even a few months later my Granddaddy followed right behind her and I just don’t know how to feel when at one point everything is fine and then the next your just numb knowing someone you loved is now gone. But my Granddaddy fought for his life to the bitter end and I feel better knowing he went peacefully. He never left anything unsaid or his feelings unheard. He was strong and a hard working man and one of the only father figures I had in this world for a long time. He taught me about family, what it means to survive, how to fight and how to provide and most importantly love. He never let a day go by without him telling me how proud he was of the man I had become. I promise I’m gonna do you proud Papa. I hope you and granny are partying it up with your favorite moonshine. Rest In Power Granddaddy Lester. I Love You 🕊️

This morning has been the hardest, most painful day I’ve had to endure. I’ve cried out every tear I possibly could, screamed to the heavens and cursed anyway I could. My Granny Ruth was one of the strongest people I’ve known. She was stubborn, goofy and fierce to the end. She believed I would be the one to change things and be the brightest out of all of us. She covered for me, raised me and she opened my eyes to try new things even if they seem different or strange. This day has changed me forever and I promise for her who believed in me and loved me despite our blood, I will be the man she thought I could be. Cause lord knows she’d pinch me for crying this much. I promise to you, I’ll shine brighter than anyone cause you believed I could. I know you’re watching over me now eating something spicy, pushing me forward. I Love You Granny. Rest In Peace
