What am I even doing with my life if I'm not sharing God's Truth?
CITIZEN of the LITERAL, physical, earthly and eternal, Kingdom of the Most High, enduring the final days of the Little Season.
I love God's Word and seek to honor Him by sharing explanations on various topics using scripture in context.
Sometimes I share some health, plants, or foraging content, too.

one ought never to be flippant, or ‘off the cuff’ with God’s word.
His word is a sure foundation and we can trust it.

Just to give fair warning, I don’t play around.
This person, if it is a real person (account is only a few months old) is accusing me of not even being a believer because I hold a very reasonable and common view of 1 Timothy 2:12…. That they disagree with.
In my opinion, this kind of behavior is likely either bots, spiritual attack, or basic internet bullying by someone’s flying monkeys.
And this “person” is also claiming that this is “the most fundamental” teaching of scripture…?!! 😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Forget about Jesus dying for our sins so that we can be spared from the wrath of God, receive salvation, and live with Him forever… no no, that’s not it…😵💫
Most importantly: women are second-class citizens! 🤣
Lord help us.
————————————————————
No scripture is to be taken in isolation. The whole counsel of God informs the matter. And since I know the Bible was not written TO me but rather FOR me, and that there are a plethora of women teachers over adult men in the whole of scripture, I can reasonably assume that Paul is discussing a specific issue in a specific historical setting that may not apply to all women for all time, as many other examples of the Bible ought to be read.
———————————————————-
“The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool spouts folly. …A discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.”
Proverbs 15:2, 14 BSB
“Blame not before thou hast examined the truth: understand first, and then rebuke. Answer not before thou hast heard the cause: neither interrupt men in the midst of their talk.”
Ecclesiasticus 11:7-8 KJVAAE

Here are some well-researched articles regarding women as teachers and prophets in a church setting.

And for the record, yes, I do believe it is very reasonable to assume that the setting makes a difference.

Earthly reign of Jesus and the Saints for 1,000 years & satan bound = literal 🤴 🗡️ ⛓️👿⛓️

End of short season, surrounding of the Camp of Saints, fiery defeat of the nation’s armies = …….metaphor…??? 🤔🤨😵💫🫠
You know who else believed the scriptures were metaphor and symbolism? The same people who taught that Jesus was a spiritual emanation only and not true flesh; who believed Jesus was not truly God, but only a division of the pleroma of gods; who believed that the Holy Spirit was Sophia, some feminine energy of wisdom, having been created through a division of the deities and then a sexual procreation with themselves ….
Ding! Ding! Ding! That’s right, the Gnostics.
John wrote the opening words of his gospel to answer their very anti-Christ, heretical teaching:
“In the beginning was the Word…the Word was God…the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
It’s not a metaphor, or an allegory, or symbolism, folks.
Do not be deceived.

When I left Washington, I left behind a large piece of my heart. The last two years I spent there were equally wonderful and awful.
I learned about foraging wild plants and herbs, and went on this amazing journey discovering the creation and what God has gifted us within it for our benefit. I felt so connected to it and to Him, so abundantly provided for, and surrounded by it.
One of the most treasured plants (and the finding/gathering experience tied to it) was wild violets.
They grew on the far side of the mountain from my house, along a little creek which was lined on both sides with poplar, birch, fir, tamarack and pine trees, burdock, and various shrubs.
Wild violets only bloom for a short window in the spring, and so it was like finding the gold at the end of the rainbow when I did find them in bloom.
I was probably the most sad to not have access to that absolutely serene foraging experience again, and though I’ve tried growing them here, I just haven’t been successful.
When we moved to our current rental, I noticed that the neighbors had wild violets growing next to their front porch in the shade, and I wished I could get some, but was always too self-conscious to ask.
I even thought of digging some up when the neighbors moved out and before the new tenants came in, but I felt guilty just thinking about it, so I didn’t ever do it.
Today, I was just pulling a large handful of weeds out of this over-wintered pepper pot, and I gasped when I uncovered this, what I can only describe as a gift from God 🎁.
How did it get there?! 😭😭
Jesus hears even the thoughts you never actually officially turned into prayers. He knows the things you’ve lost and how it’s broken you. He has not lost track of the wounds you carry and what you have obediently surrendered in faith.
Be still and know! 🙏

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
Ephesians 4:14
———————————————-
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep‘s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.
Wherefore, by their fruits you shall know them. Not everyone that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of my father, which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?’
And then, I will profess onto them, ‘I never knew you depart from me you that work iniquity.’”
Matthew 7:15-23 KJV (ish)
“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage;
rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.”
Galatians 5:19-25 BSB
————————————————-
“But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. Test and prove what pleases the Lord.
Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather EXPOSE them.”
Ephesians 5:3-11 BSB
If you think that the only fruitless deeds of darkness that need exposing are of the far off “elites” of the world… you need to rethink the scripture and let it convict you personally.

The entirety of scripture is cohesive; it interprets itself, it elaborates on its own statements in a myriad of ways and places. This is one way we know how to identify scripture as inspired. It is of One Spirit.
You don’t get to make up your own definitions or isolate contexts based on your own feelings on the matter. Our job as bereans is to find out what the Author intended it to mean. What was he referring back to when he said, ‘xyz’?
God promised the fathers (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) a real, literal, tangible land to dwell in FOREVER, not just a metaphorical ‘building of belief’ founded on Jesus. Scripture DOES NOT say that the promise of the land was only for a certain age — that is inserting your own ideas into the text — It uses the word “everlasting.”
The Eternal Temple is a literal place. Why do I say that?
Because God has always promised to DWELL WITH His people; to come DOWN and visit the earth, as Enoch states.
He has given US — the “new people” as Esdras states, and the “former Gentiles,” as Ephesians states, — the HOME that was promised to the fathers.
The genetic Israel has become a faithful Israel, and every promise made to them is now true for us.
We will be brought into the eternal land where the King sits enthroned on His High Mountain, where the Holy and Elect now dwell.
“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations, for an *everlasting covenant*, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.
And I will give *unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger*, all the land of Canaan, for an 👉🏻everlasting possession; 👈🏻 and I will be their God.”

This highlights the ability of the human mind to selectively process information, while entirely dismissing other information at once. It also demonstrates the relevance of a provided context, over and against human information processing on the whole, and the strengths and limits of human memory as a reliable source of information.
Chew on it.

I had a gut feeling yesterday that the comments would be deleted. There is a great something to be said for learning to listen to the Holy Spirit’s discernment…which I did, in fact, do this time.
