When an elephant is transported by ship from one continent to another, its cage is not tied with chains or strong bars. Instead, it is surrounded by small animals.

Although this sounds unbelievable, it is actually true. This giant of nature is afraid of harming the tiny creatures around it—and not just a little fear. Throughout the entire journey, the elephant remains still, ensuring that not a single small creature around it gets hurt. In this way, without even realizing it, the elephant maintains the stability of the aircraft and shows us the greatness of its character.

Intrigued by this behavior, scientists decided to study the matter more deeply. After analyzing their brains, they discovered something remarkable: a type of cell called the fusiform neuron, which exists in very few animals, is present in elephants. Because of this, elephants are capable of empathy, sensitivity, and the mindset of not harming others.

These same cells exist in humans as well. But nowadays, humans no longer seem to know what empathy, sensitivity, and the mindset of not harming others truly are.

Even if you start poorly, just start — because the start is what truly matters…!!**

At some point in our lives, we all stand in a moment where we want to start something new, but we feel afraid. The fear is only one thing: *What if I can’t do it properly?*

This fear stops us.
We think, *“When the right time comes, I’ll start.”*
But the right time never comes on its own.

Every successful story began imperfect, incomplete, and a bit messy.

**The first step is always unstructured.**

Steve Jobs built the first Macintosh with very limited resources.
Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and every successful person around us — they all began “badly” at first.
They didn’t wait to become perfect.
They learned by doing.

Zig Ziglar said it beautifully:
*“If it's worth doing, it's worth doing badly (at first).”*
Because if you never start, you never learn — and if you never learn, you can never become good at it.

**Mistakes are your teachers.**

Imagine you start learning guitar.
At first, your fingers will hurt, the notes will sound wrong.
But one day, those same fingers will create beautiful melodies — because you didn’t quit.

I always say this:

**Every attempt brings us one step closer to perfection.**

Your first blog might be bad.
Your first presentation might feel awkward.
Your first video might look strange.
But that is the path of learning.

**A perfect start is not needed — starting is already perfect.**

As a new writer, I once used to get stuck trying to make every sentence perfect.
The result? I wrote nothing.
But when I told myself, *“Let it be imperfect, just write,”* that’s when my real journey began.

**Your journey can begin right now.**

Maybe you want to learn a new skill —
design, coding, cooking, fitness, public speaking — anything.

Remember:

You don’t need to be perfect the first time.
You only need the courage to try the first time.
A messy beginning can one day become mastery if you stay consistent.

Whenever you’re afraid to “start badly,” remember:
**The greatest failure is not starting at all.**

Start today.
Make mistakes.
Learn.
Grow.

Because in this journey called life,
**the only way to get good is to start bad.**

Thomas Alva Edison was very weak in his studies. Once, he performed very poorly in a school examination.

On the day of the results, the headmaster handed him a letter and said,
“Go straight home and give this letter to your mother.”

Edison did as he was told and, out of curiosity, asked his mother,
“Mom, what’s written in the letter?”

Smiling softly, his mother read the letter aloud to him:
“Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him, and there are not enough qualified teachers here to educate him properly. Please teach him yourself at home.”

From that day on, Edison began to study under his mother’s guidance. Over time, he became one of the greatest scientists of his era — the man who invented the electric bulb that changed the course of human history. But sadly, his mother was no longer alive to witness her son’s success.

One day, while going through some old papers, Edison came across a folded piece of paper. He picked it up and opened it — it was that same letter from his childhood school. The letter actually said:
“Your child is mentally slow and lacking in intelligence. He is not fit for our school, and we can no longer allow him to attend.”

As Edison read the words, his eyes filled with tears. He deeply missed his mother.
At that moment, he wrote in his diary:
“Thomas Alva Edison was once a mentally weak and dull child — but his mother turned him into the greatest genius of the century.”

A deer can leap twenty-three feet in one jump, while a tiger can leap twenty-two feet. Therefore, mathematically, a tiger should never be able to catch a deer. But in reality, the opposite happens – the deer is often caught by the tiger.

The reason for this is not something else, but the deer, while running, repeatedly looks back – to see how far ahead it is from the tiger. And this is what proves fatal for the deer! Every time it looks back, it loses one jump, meaning it falls behind twenty-three feet in one go. As a result, the deer eventually gets caught by the tiger.

Therefore, one should never look back while moving forward. No matter how many mistakes are made, the name of reaching the dream is to move forward with firm steps."

This is a beautiful analogy! It highlights the importance of staying focused on your goals and not getting distracted by looking back at past mistakes or comparing yourself to others. 👍
