File Transfer Protocol is the product of a post industrial sound which originated in the fading steel towns of north eastern Ohio. A combination of driving distorted guitars, mangled synths, processors and other various electronic gadgetry, projecting a foreboding sound of isolation and introspection. This area of the country also spawned such bands as Filter, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, DEVO, DINK and Marilyn Manson.
