Rooted in the Renaissance tradition of honoring local culture, heritage, and artistic expression, this evening was designed as a gentle pause from the rush of life—a moment to listen, feel, and reflect. As the lights softened at the GBC Lobby Café, words began to flow, carrying stories of love, longing, hope, and humanity.

The evening was led by Mr. Ehsan Samad, a gifted reciter, poet, and speaker, whose voice brought timeless verses to life. His performance wove together his own writings with celebrated Shayari by legends such as Mirza Ghalib, Sahir Ludhianvi, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Gulzar, and Imran Aami. Each recitation felt intimate, as if spoken directly to the heart.

Accompanying him was a skilled flutist, whose soft melodies moved seamlessly between the verses. The flute accompanied the words, it listened, responded, and breathed alongside them, creating a seamless dialogue between sound and silence.

Shayari Evening became more than an event; it was a melodious journey. The elegant setting of Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan transformed into a warm, reflective space where poetry lovers gathered not just to hear, but to feel.
