कालैनालक्ष्यवेगेन सूक्ष्मत्वात् तन्न दृश्यते।।

अनुवाद:
हे प्रिय अङ्ग!जीव–समूह प्रतिक्षण उत्पन्न होते हैं और नष्ट भी हो जाते हैं—अर्थात् प्रत्येक क्षण में ही उनकी उत्पत्ति और प्रलय चल रहा है।परन्तु काल की गति अत्यन्त सूक्ष्म, अदृश्य और तीव्र होने के कारण इन सभी सृष्टि-विनाश की प्रक्रियाओं को साधारण लोग प्रत्यक्ष रूप से देख नहीं पाते।काल की यह सूक्ष्म क्रिया विवेकहीन अथवा असावधान मनुष्यों की दृष्टि में कभी अनुभवगम्य नहीं होती।

প্রতিক্ষণই জীবসমূহের উৎপত্তি ও প্রলয় ঘটছে—
জগতের প্রত্যেক প্রাণী নিরন্তর হচ্ছে ও হচ্ছে না,
অর্থাৎ অস্তিত্বে উদয় হচ্ছে এবং অস্তিত্ব ছাড়ছে।কিন্তু এ সকল সৃষ্টি ও সংহার কালের অত্যন্ত অদৃশ্য,সূক্ষ্ম ও ক্ষিপ্র গতির কারণে সাধারণ মানুষের অনুভবে ধরা পড়ে না।কাল এমন সূক্ষ্মভাবে কাজ করে যে, বিবেকহীন বা অমনোযোগী ব্যক্তি এই নিত্য পরিবর্তনকে প্রত্যক্ষ করতে পারে না।
