The 7.9 sq km Indian Savannah on the edge of the desert, where leaping blackbucks greet you in the golden light, while falcons circle above; ready to become your mighty subject on a nearby perch. Spiny-tailed lizards scuttle at your feet, only to vanish in a blink, sometimes as prey in the unforgiving cycle of life!
Tal Chhapar isn’t just a sanctuary, it’s a stage of suspense, thrill, and raw wilderness. Every frame here feels like a reward, a moment of accomplishment carved from patience and anticipation.

Following the footsteps…
From idolizing our fathers as the first superhero to watching a jacana chick trail behind its dad, some bonds truly echo across nature and childhood.
As kids, we often saw our fathers as the only superhero who existed. For boys especially, imitating his style, mannerisms, even his (sometimes funny!) dressing sense felt natural. Years later, out in the wild as a photographer, when you stumble upon a moment that mirrors this bond like a jacana chick trailing its father, those forgotten strings of childhood suddenly begin to vibrate again!

Uploads were a bit inconsistent since last few days as I was in Sunderban Tiger Reserve last week. Poor network didn't let me upload anything at all. Shorts continue from today 8:30PM IST. Some long form contents also in making & I can't wait to share those with you all.

Hectic workloads don't permit doing whatever, whenever you want. Time has become so limited and crucial for me in the last few months that sometimes it seems better if I could track every minute. Weird, I know. Everything isn't running at the same pace, one thing is being heavily compromised for another. Agreed.
Can't recall the last time I held my camera, felt the adrenaline rush after a perfect shot, or had an hour of uninterrupted time to process my images. Tons of RAW files are piled up in storage, untouched.
Still, sometimes you get a few minutes to look back at your old work. And every time, those moments never fail to remind you this's one of your best shots to date.
Found this gem in an old folder and thought it deserved a share. 🙂

The Epic Game; Fierce, Raw & Untamed...
We often associate nature with peace, bliss & serenity, forgetting the flip side of the coin. Amidst the serene greens and blissful silence, a horrific game of survival is always being played, where everyone trying to surpass the other simply by murdering the opponent!
The accuracy and expertise with which the Laggar Falcon threshed this Spiny Tailed Lizard just with few seconds of effort, is quite unbelievable if not watched in front of the naked eyes. Then he took his prey, took a short flight, perched on a tree nearby & devoured the mill making all of us pin point focussed on the viewfinder for the next twenty minutes!
