another thing for vinny's birthday that i want to add:

i got this piece of fan art recently from ‪@count_freakula‬ . it's so cool, that i thought it deserved it's own separate post. he found that i has vinny up as a character on my artfight profile, and even though i wasn't participating in the competition this year, he still decided to draw vincent for me anyway 🥲

i love the fact that he gave vincent the same scars that i have (my trauma is vincent's trauma too 🤪), and i especially love that he gave vinny an eden hoodie ;-; he was so sweet to do this for me, and it still makes me so happy whenever i look at this drawing.

it's that time of year again where i acknowledge the birthday of a goat puppet from a series for actual babies 🥳

happy 26th birthday to vincent van goat, mascot of my channel, mascot of my whole life. it's to the point where i have felt like he's me, and i'm him, if that even makes sense 🫠🥲 he was my first ever memory, and if it weren't for him, i wouldn't love the things i love or be who i am. most importantly, if it weren't for him, I WOULDN'T HAVE MET ALL OF YOU 💖 and i love you all more than words can say. to say that i'm so incredibly thankful that he exists is an understatement.

i know last year that i said his girlfriend proposed to him on his birthday last year, but they still aren't getting married yet. vinny's dream is to go to tokyo disneyland, and he would love to have his honeymoon there. he's currently unemployed, so he's going to have to save for a few years lmao (as well as for the actual wedding himself). he's getting there though! today he went to his favorite field to go paint, and now he's chilling and drinking some tea + smoking two packs of cigarettes in a concerningly short amount of time. he's drinking his favorite tea, and is getting ready to spend time with his brother and fianceé later to have his birthday dinner, cake, and open his presents together.

he's my favorite character from anything ever, and always will be. i love that his birthday is pretty close to mine too <3 sorry for not doing anything special for his birthday this year besides acknowledging it like this, but i hope it's enough. maybe i'll get a little tattoo of him on one of his birthdays soon

yesterday, kavinsky was found dead in his house in france. tomorrow would have been his 51st birthday. he was also one of my favorite artists of all time.

since he was so closely connected to daft punk (guy-manuel helped produce "nightcall" + he opened for daft punk's last tour with sebastian), that's how i got into him, and that's why i've been listening to his music for years now. nightcall is easily one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. i love how kav blended the 80s sound and aesthetics with his own modern touch. his music still feels really ahead of it's time, even today.

i remember when reborn came out in early 2022, and how excited i was for it. he hadn't released music in years. that album was pretty much almost all i could listen to for months. back in that era, i even would draw vincent van goat dressed as kavinsky, since they both shared the same name 🥲 won't put those drawings here though, as my art is very shitty lmao

i wish i could be even half as cool as he was, he was like the definition of aura ;-; he's the reason why i want a testarossa more than anything in the world. one of my biggest dreams was to see him live one day, and i was going to try to make that happen within the next couple of years. he was in the studio with sebastian a few weeks ago working on a new album :(

sadly, he would sometimes down whole bottles of whiskey during dj sets, and he would smoke a ton (as is common in france). he was complaining about headaches for multiple days, and a neighbor had a wellness check done on him because they hadn't seen him in multiple days + were worried about him. i'm especially worried about his dog, jaws, as he wasn't fed or anything for multiple days + he was vincent's whole world </3

if you feel like something is physically wrong, like having a headache for multiple days, PLEASE tell someone and seek medical attention. i had something similar happen to me when i had chronic appendicitis for four months in 2023 (initially thought it was anxiety), and going to the hospital for it saved my life. also, please do not drink or smoke. if you're addicted to any of that, please seek help. i promise you that you are loved, and that so many people want you here + want you to be healthy and happy.

i'm keeping kav's friends, family, and jaws in my thoughts today. if you haven't listened to his music, i highly recommend doing so. to say that he was amazing is an understatement

today was my dad's birthday, he would have turned 80 🥲🎂 i never got to have a conversation with him or anything, as he passed away when i was a year old, but he was a very kind person from what i heard. i would have loved to have known him, and i hope i would have made him proud of me. i'm having a little cupcake and blowing a candle today to at least do something for the day. i think about him and miss him every single day, but just especially miss him today. time to party (and cry, mostly cry) 🫡🥳🎉🍾

so glad and thankful that he helped bring me into this beautiful world 🩷

who would've known that something i started over half my lifetime ago would've become this big and this amazing. i feel so grateful that i have this platform to express myself on, and even moreso that i have the best community in the world on here.
