Welcome to my YouTube channel, Accessible Media Maven! I'm Laigha Anderson, and I've faced disability challenges since a young age. At 15, my first major knee surgery shifted my path. I worked as a writer, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring those with disabilities. Now, I'm pursuing a Masters of Public Administration to make a difference.

In 2021, I was diagnosed with Generalized Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (gHSD) and Diabetes, with an unknown cause. I'm passionate about diabetes care, no matter the type or cause. Join me as we navigate life's twists, raise disability awareness, and explore healthcare. Let's learn, grow, and make a positive impact together! 💪📚🌍 #LifeWithLaigha

Hi all, I've been thinking about where I want this channel to go. I have been thinking about transitioning my more traditional lifestyle content onto a substack but I don't know if you guys would miss that. In essence, medical vlogs would stay and so would IF but moving, work, school and monthly reset would move to a free email newsletter I would release once per week. I'm also thinking of doing some more disability themed videos that talk about big topics but are not really "illness fakers" related. Let me know what you think

Hey Guys.

I just wanted to update you on a few things now that I have the ability to make Community Posts. I know quite a few of you are new subscribers and I want to thank you. I know that my current Subscriber count is not many but I do enjoy and am grateful for each and every one of you. That being said I have a few

1. I am planning on celebrating when my first video hits 1,000 views which would be the first Chronically Jaquie Video. If I have not responded to your comment it is because I plan on responding to all of the comments in a video that will come out after I hit this milestone.

2. Based on feedback I am thinking about changing the r/IllnessFakers series in two ways, first that I will be making 3-6 videos per creator instead of 2-3 as I think I can cover more ground and get the videos out more consistently. Secondly, I am considering expanding to doing more platforms that bully disabled creators than just the subreddit r/IllnessFakers that could include: r/FakeDisorderCringe, GossipGuru, 🥝 Farms, LolCow and other places where hate for disabled and chronically ill content creators exist. Would you be interested in this? Please let me know.

3. Finally I decided that I will be putting up a poll to decide who I should research for the next creator in the series. Please vote and the one with the most votes will be the one I will start researching. I am only including people featured on IF and who have Youtube on this one.

Best,
Laigha
