I’m putting the last touches on my presentation for tomorrow’s workshop:
Investing for Early & Regular Retirement in Europe (click here to save your spot: indexmasterclass.com/special-webinar)
And I got to thinking about this.
Years ago, my grandma retired at the age of 55.
But today, across Europe, the typical pension age is 65.
And with demographics getting worse, it’s only going increasing.
In Denmark, it’s already 70.
If you wait for your government pension — it may be a long wait.
By the time you retire, you may be 68, 70 or 73.
You may not have the health or energy to travel or pursue your hobbies the way you would love to.
That’s why so many people these days aim to retire early. At 50, 55, or 60.
To travel and on passion projects and spend time with their grandkids.
But how much money do you need to do this comfortably?
And how long does it realistically take to save up that much?
Come to tomorrow’s free workshop and find out!
Sign up here: indexmasterclass.com/special-webinar
I’ll walk you through exactly how it works.
I’m a former pension fund CEO. I’ve helped thousands of people save for retirement.
And I’d be happy to help you too.
See you tomorrow,
Tom Crosshill
P.s. Come prepared with questions tomorrow. We’ll do a live Q&A at the end!

Big news for anyone considering Saturday’s workshop “How to Invest While Living Abroad in Europe”
(Go here to reserve your spot: www.indexmasterclass.com/workshop-registration-exp…)
We’ve added a world-class guest expert.
Joining us live on Saturday is Alise Berlinberga, a top European tax advisor.
Alise works with wealthy entrepreneurs and expats — helping them plan international moves, optimize taxes, and build wealth.
For most regular people, getting access to a tax expert like Alise may be unaffordable. . .
But on Saturday, she’ll be joining us live during the Q&A to share insights from her years of experience.
If you’ve ever wondered:
What happens to your taxes when you move?
How do I avoid double taxation?
How can I plan my investments smartly before relocating?
and other expat- and tax-related questions
This is your chance to ask.
👉 Reserve your spot for the workshop – just €7: www.indexmasterclass.com/workshop-registration-exp…
Tom
P.S.
To be clear, this is an educational workshop with many attendees expected.
We will not be analyzing complicated individual tax situations or giving individual tax advice.
But if you’ve got questions about how taxes work for expat investors, this is your chance.
P.P.S.
Important clarification – unfortunately, this is not for U.S. citizens or green card holders.

Next Saturday, exactly one week from today, I’m running a brand new live workshop:
“How to Invest While Living Abroad in Europe”

This won’t be just theory or generic advice.
It’s a practical, step-by-step training based not just on my 18 years of experience. . .
I’ve also compressed the most important insights from the tens of thousands of euros that I’ve spent on tax advisors and expat consultants.
We’ll cover:
✅ What are the best investments for people living abroad in Europe
✅ Which brokerages are best for expat investors
✅ How to handle investment taxes as an expat or nomad
✅ What to do when you move to a new country — so your investments don’t get stuck
Plus, we’ll do a deep-dive live Q&A to answer your questions.
To keep the audience size manageable so I can answer questions, there’s a small fee to join.
Just €7 gets you a front-row seat.

Which option would you prefer?
A) I give you 100 euros and then I take 40 euros away
or
B) I don’t give you anything
Obviously A is better, right?
Otherwise you're just saying: “I don't want money!”
But people make choice B all the time.
I hear lots of people say this:
“Investing taxes are so high it's not even worth bothering!”
I hear this from people in Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, many other places. . .
even countries where taxes aren't all that high. . .
And I get it – no one wants to pay 20, 30 or 40 percent tax on their ETF profits - it’s frustrating.
But paying 40% tax on 1000 euros is a LOT better than paying 0% tax on 0 euros.
And investing is virtually always better than not investing, no matter where in Europe you live.
It's especially dangerous to compare your country with others.
Okay, sure, taxes may be lower in other European countries.
But here's a couple of things to keep in mind.
First, comparison is the thief of joy.
Unless you're planning to move, comparing with other countries is just a recipe for depression.
And second, taxes don't exist in a vacuum.
I’ve been researching taxes in 30+ countries across Europe – and in most cases the countries with the lowest taxes have plenty of other drawbacks…
While many of the countries with higher taxes are the countries where people want to live – because life is very nice there.
So don't sabotage your own wealth.
Don't pick option B and stay broke just because you're frustrated about taxes.
Take action – save and invest – and you'll be far better off in the future than anyone who's stuck in “comparison mindset”.
Even if you have to pay some taxes along the way!
P.s. If you’re wondering how investment taxes work here in Europe, here’s one of my most popular older videos where I explain it in detail:

“If you’re such a good investor, why teach others? Why not just live off your millions?”
I get this question a lot – and it’s great!
This is EXACTLY what you should ask people who sell trading courses and “get rich quick” systems.
The trouble is, “get rich quick” doesn’t work.
I don’t know any system to turn €1K into €1 million fast.
Investing HAS helped me become financially independent.
But it took many years – and I saved a big % of my income.
Because legitimate investing works like this:
1) You make money at your job or business
2) You don’t spend it all
3) You invest the difference – and multiply your wealth over time
It doesn’t make you a millionaire quickly, but given time, it changes your life.
Because for every €1K that you save, you can ideally spend €4K or €5K or €6K in the future.
Now here in Europe, getting started with investing can be tricky.
I discovered all the challenges – taxes, brokerages, regulations and more – while working as the CEO of the European investment company INDEXO.
So after leaving the company, I started training European investors.
I do it with full transparency:
I make free videos and sell paid training courses.
By doing this, I build wealth for my family and earn money to invest.
And my clients learn how to grow their own savings through investing.
With support of my 10 full time team members who work behind the scenes to make the magic happen.
If that sounds like a fair deal, I’d love to help you too.
