JULY 17 - ❤ Today, in fond remembrance of CHAS CHANDLER, (December 18, 1938 - July 17, 1996).

Legendary bassist and member of THE ANIMALS, Chas Chandler left an indelible mark on the music world with his innovative bass playing and contributions to the bands sound. His career with The Animals was marked by a string of hit songs that were anthems of the time, including "House of the Rising Sun," "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood," and "We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place." His driving bass lines provided the foundation for the band's blues and soulful sound and solidified his reputation as one of the finest bassists of his generation.

Beyond his musical talents, Chas was also known for his role as manager and producer, guiding the careers of legends such as JIMI HENDRIX and SLADE. His keen ear for talent and his visionary approach to music production helped shape rock music of the 1960s and 1970s.

His spirit lives on through his music, inspiring generations of musicians and fans alike.

Today, let's celebrate his remarkable legacy, his influence on the music world and the timeless music he created with The Animals.

Remembering, with much affection, HILTON VALENTINE, 21 May 1943 - 29 January 2021.
Primarily known for being the original guitarist of The Animals and for playing the iconic opening riff on their hit song 'House Of The Rising Sun'. He's also known for his inventive playing style and the distinctive arpeggio chords he used, influencing countless beginner guitarists.
Hilton would have turned 82 today. Never forgotten.❤🌹 Xx

👍😊 Dear Animals & Eric fans, site owner here, I don't usually mention birthdays of this channel but I just spotted how long ago I started this tribute channel - which turned 16 years old on January 18, 2025. I began it way back in 2009 and time has passed very quickly. Just wanted to thank you fans for supporting my channel with your visits and I hope you continue to enjoy it and get something out of it even though I no longer upload any videos.
