I’m very excited to announce that the new single from Alexis Grace, “West Coast”, is out today on all platforms.

Alexis wrote this wonderful love letter to California, and it’s my first time producing and mixing a studio release, so I’m quite proud of how it came out. We think it’s the perfect song for the summer.

There’s more where that came from: we’re currently working on Alexis’ 10-song debut album, "The Amazing Alexis Grace", and I can’t wait for folks to hear this music. Be sure to follow Alexis on your streaming service of choice. In other news, my summer schedule at the Guest House at Graceland is now on my website. We hope to see some friends and fans this Elvis Week!

And don’t forget about the Nicole Atkins Weird Summer Tour 2025 in August! I can’t wait to hit the road in her band. See nicoleatkins.com for details.

Thank you for all your support, and I hope to see you somewhere this summer!

Two years ago today we released my first-ever official music video. We shot it entirely on iPhone, with a crew of two: myself and Joanna D'Gerolamo. Two years later, I don’t mind saying I think it holds up pretty good for our first DIY attempt.

The album had been finished since late 2019, but when the pandemic came, we decided to wait for the right time to release it. That ended up being a year later. I worried I might never tour again, so if I wanted to promote my record, I figured I better learn how to make videos. So, in the dark days of 2020, Joanna and I embarked on this video project.

I was already live-streaming from my living room every week and learning about exposure and frame rates and all that. Joanna showed her knack for camera work, and we got some help from my buddy Tad Pierson at his American Dream Safari space, who let us use it as our set. I got the free download of DaVinci Resolve and taught myself to edit.

Two years later, we are on our third pressing of The Rhythm of The City on vinyl. I have also mixed and released a live album on vinyl in that time, and completed my most successful European tour yet. I often think about what it felt like back in 2020 when we were out in the cold on a quiet Beale Street trying to make this video, wondering if I’d ever play music again.

Thank you to all my incredible fans and friends who supported me and my music during these challenging times, and thank you for your continued support. And stay tuned: my sixth studio album is underway.

Let me also say congratulations to the rhythm section on this album, Danny Banks and Matthew Wilson, whose band John Németh & The Blue Dreamers were just nominated yesterday for Band of the Year at the 2023 Blues Music Awards, and to Southern Avenue, who are also nominated. That's Tierinii and Tikyra you hear singing here, of course. What can I say, I have extremely talented friends and I'm very lucky they helped me make this album.
