Continuing with the female character showcase, we have Sakura, Simmons' martial arts mentor.
First appearing in the second chapter of The Night Bird, Sakura is obsessed with everything comics, cats, or both. Being the self-proclaimed "greatest life coach there ever was", as well as a master in various forms of martial arts, she does her best to cheer her friends up. Even the smallest things she finds fill her with happiness.
Sakura is the daughter of Roy Kojima, Simmons' karate teacher, which is also how they first met. She moved to Evercity from the nearby town to meet the rest of her family. She's still not used to living in the big city, which would often lead to her getting lost.

Continuing with our female character showcase, we have Glitch, the rogue computer virus who is able to materialize itself into our world. Believe it or not, she was created years before AI took over the world. She was originally intended to be my stand-in for Two-Face, as I already had Psycho Crow, who was basically my version of Joker. I was trying to get her as far away from Two-Face as possible, but to still have some slight references. In the final design, the only detail that can count as a reference is her hair covering the half of her face.
Now here's some Glitch lore you should know:
She was originally an AI chatbot created by Mason Honeyheart, a hacker and a brother of Gloria Honeyheart, a once beloved musician who went way too soon. The cause of her death is still unknown. Mason, desperate to get his sister back, decides to create an AI clone of her from some leftover code on his computer, that also happened to contain tons of malware. Unaware of what he's done, Mason unleashed one of the most powerful and dangerous computer viruses in the world. The more this AI program learns, the more it starts to materialize into the real world, so be careful what you do online. ✌️

It's officially #womenshistorymonth , which means I'm going to dedicate the entire month to showcasing some of my original female characters, starting off with - Simmons Justice, a.k.a Night Bird. 🎤⚔️
Out of all the female characters in my universe, Night Bird might be the most badass out of them all. She has existed for almost five years now, but I just recently got a chance to further develop her into a more defined character while working on the pilot for the upcoming animated series. She has grown so much since she was created, from being a simple Batman parody to being a very complex and layered character with the mysterious past. I've got so many plans for Night Bird's story and her universe as a whole, that I don't think I can even fit all the ideas in this one post. Overall, Night Bird will forever remain one of my favorite original characters, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with her too once the pilot is released. ⚔️

Fun fact: Washington's and Jefferson's wife shared the same name - Martha. Sounds familiar?
I know it's been almost a decade since #batmanvsuperman came out, but I knew I had to make fun of this scene at some point. Oh, by the way, the chick on the third slide is Joan, Jefferson's current love interest, which is going to be a major plot point in my upcoming webcomic, Project Rushmore. I already gave a brief explanation about it in my previous post, so go check it out if you're interested.

The Rushmore guys - Regular outfits vs modern day disguises. Honestly one of my favorite concept arts in a while!
Have you ever wondered what would happen if the four most famous US presidents got resurrected and brought back to Earth? Well, Project Rushmore aims to answer that question.
It's just a rough concept for now, but hopefully it will turn into a full blown comic series, in a similar manner to The Night Bird.
