Ethan secured his third and final GM norm at the "Chess Summer in Sarajevo – GM Mix" tournament in Bosnia & Herzegovina on Jun 27, 2026, where he also emerged as champion, making him the current youngest GM in India and current 2nd-youngest GM in the world.

Ethan earned his 2nd IM Norm at the Vezerkepzo November GM tournament in Budapest, Hungary. Having also touched the requisite FIDE Rating of 2400 Elo points in the same tournament, he is now one IM Norm away from becoming an International Master.
