Mathematics Education Teacher Awareness Hub (META Hub) is a web-based platform that connects Mathematics teachers in Sri Lanka with the field of Mathematics Education. This would be the first-ever such platform developed in the country.

This is a collaboration between the Faculty of the Technology University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Mathematics Branch of the Ministry of Education.

Mathematics Education is a multidisciplinary as well as an interdisciplinary field of study that deals with theories, practices, policies, curriculum, and issues about the teaching and learning of mathematics along with the associated scholarly research. The field is not yet fully established in Sri Lanka and scholars who have specialized in the field are very few in the country. Hence, Sri Lankan school Mathematics teachers from K-12 have little or no access to the findings in the mathematics education field related to effective teaching practices.
