I honestly can’t believe it’s been 3 years since Jason uploaded these stories sent by friends and fellow content creators, great tales and story 3 was sent in by me, a creepy story I first heard in 1977 it was said to have happened in 1917-1918 during the Great War.
Happy Halloween to everyone 🎃

Here’s one for Andy @tacraling that perhaps he might be able to help me out with, on a recent Antique quest I picked this up in Beaufort South Carolina it’s a nice photo framed and matted and I believe it’s from the Great War era the only thing I know as of now is a name “Neels” I don’t believe it to be worth a lot but I picked it up for a little over 3 British pounds ($3.99 American) and in all honesty value isn’t important it’s what one is interested in.
If Andy or anyone else can shed light on this photo please leave a comment.
Thanks so much 👍

Graves I’d love to visit (but probably won’t get to)
On September 13, 1861 during a scout mission near cheat mountain Virginia a squad of Union cavalry approached some confederate cavalry and the confederates (for whatever reason, perhaps outnumbered) turned to flee, a volley of shots were fired and one confederate fell from his horse as the rest galloped away. As the Union soldiers approached this wounded man he removed his pistol from its holster still willing to fight it out yet from massive blood loss he was already to weak to fire it, as he was quickly disarmed he begged for water in which the Union soldiers gave it to him, they tried to aid this fallen soldier but 4 bullets hit their mark in his back and he passed soon afterwards.
To the Union soldiers surprise they found out this man was lieutenant colonel John Washington the great grandnephew of none other than George Washington himself.
John was laid to rest in Charles town (Jefferson county) West Virginia he was 40 years old.

Here’s a quick post on a soldier killed at Hickam Field on December 7th 1941 (I thought after watching @ColoradoMartini latest video I’d do a post about another story on the subject)
This is a photo of Private Russell Vidoloff born 1920 in West Virginia, he at one point decided to join the military probably because in this area back then one of the only jobs one could get was in the mines, and perhaps he wanted to avoid the tragic fate unfortunately delivered to his father Pete (a immigrant from Bulgaria who died in 1927 during a slate fall in a coal mine)
Russell joined the military and probably thought he struck gold, not only did he escape the dangers of mining but he ended up in one of the most beautiful places in the world Hawaii, beautiful weather, beautiful beaches great food and he was getting paid for this, he probably thought “I’ll stay in the military until I die”
Sadly that’s what happened, on December 7th 1941 the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor, Russell was at Hickam Field and was killed when the airbase was attacked.
He was one of the first killed in the war to be brought back home to the mainland United States in October 1947 and he was laid to rest with full military honors in Montgomery memorial park, London West Virginia.

Of all the tragic events that happened at Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941, I believe the worst tale were those 3 sailors aboard the USS West Virginia which was sunk that day, they managed to lived in a huge pocket of air in a dark pump room for 16 days waiting for help that never arrived.
The three were found when the USS West Virginia was refloated in May 1942 with obvious evidence that they did survive the initial sinking of their ship.
May they all rest in peace.

You truly must watch @SightsWithSteve he films some amazing places and he even uses drones to capture these beautiful places from above 👍 and best of all he’s a “busy working person” friendly content creator by keeping his videos usually less than 12 minutes in length 👍
So give him a try, like share and subscribe 👍👍👍

Shout out to @TheSilentForgotten he does movies and their starring cast and he does a great job on his tribute work to those film stars whom are no longer with us. Check him out and give him a like and subscribe 👍👍 That being said Happy 98th birthday to Marilyn Monroe 🎂
What is your favorite film of hers? Mine would have to be “The Seven Year itch” starring (of course Monroe) along with Tom Ewell 👍
