It is 10:30 PM and I have just learned of a new plane crash that has occurred very recently: American Airlines flight 5342.
I am very saddened to hear that the streak of accidents and crashes from 2024, a year with unusually high casualties, may continue into 2025. We don’t know the details yet, however it is believed that this aircraft crashed into the Potomac river on approach to DCA airport in Washington DC after colliding with a helicopter. There is no confirmed wreckage and we are not sure how many survivors there are from this horrible accident.
As I go to sleep tonight, I pray for the survival of the passengers on this airplane and urge you all to do the same. 🕊️🙏
