This truly was A Monument Mythos 🫡 We may not get Modern Day back on Eve's channel after all, but I'm alright with it being archived. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I decided to do a season retrospective for Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age, it does contain some brief spoilers so be warned:
They knocked the cgi outta the park with this one. Idk if it's because Framestore did it or it's just more recognizeable animals now but everything looks even more breathtaking than before. The music's great as always and Tom Hiddleston's a great narrator for this season, I do have issues with the script's absolute allergy to scientific and place names but that's not on him. I love the diversity of creatures shown --never before would I have imagined seeing a Stellar's Sea Cow, Psilopterus, or Enhydriodon on screen-- as well as how they interact beyond predator vs. prey. Not only that but the inclusion of extant animals here and there was also great at contextualizing how recent these beasts lived. Overall the vibe feels completely different from the first 2 seasons in a good way. And of course the best criticism of this series, I wish there was more. And I hope there'll be more in the future.
‪@Mrloophole‬ here's a pic I took last year, when the northern lights went as far south as Arizona (wish I had an actual camera to take better pics with but oh well)
