The Desk Dragon

What do I mean when I say I make "fantasy-infused" art and stationery? I'm glad you asked!

A lot of my work is inspired by the fantastical. Think magical lands, castles, and — of course! — dragons. But when I say my art is “fantasy-infused,” I mean something a little different. In a nutshell, I use this phrase to mean anything that inspires feelings of whimsy, delight, and creativity. Some of my pieces are specifically fantasy themed, while others simply aim to spark joy, imagination, and self-compassion.

Regardless, everything I make is imbued with a love for whimsy and creative expression, which is where the word "infused" comes into play. (Plus, I like the imagery of steeping a bit of metaphorical magic in my watercolors and ink!)

The thing about mushrooms is that they’re **really weird**. Just search up photos of real-life mushrooms, and you’ll see they truly do come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. But that’s what makes them so beautiful and fascinating, isn’t it? And the same is true of people — it’s the weird aspects of our personalities and even appearances that set us apart as uniquely beautiful and fascinating individuals.

When I was drawing the mushrooms for this collection, I made sure to let them be a little weird with plenty of fun colors and shapes. And, like my mushrooms, I want to encourage you to embrace your own weirdness and the fun, colorful parts of your personality. 🍄🐉 Be your own kind of (weird, colorful) beautiful.
