15 years ago we sat in a park in the grass and talked about what we imagined our futures being like. We were just two kids obsessed with each other, who had big dreams. But, how we imagined it is no where close to how it all actually happened. Yes, we are married, yes we bought a home, and yes we started a family… on paper it seems like we did it all right. But, you didn’t see the heartbreak we experienced, living on opposite sides of the country, being in different relationships, financial struggles… you didn’t see it.
So I want to remind you that where you are right now in your life is where you are supposed to be. What you are dreaming up, is meant for you. What you working on, stay focused. What you want, may not be what you need right now. Your journey is your own. Your timing is irrelevant when it comes to God’s timing. I promise if you trust in that, that one day you’ll wish you could tell yourself 15 years ago that “You will have it all, just keep going.”
