With one foot firmly planted in the familiar styles that brought each of their earlier bands prominence in the 2000’s, the eagerly awaited offering from “Paradise Slaves” has drafted a sonic blueprint incorporating earlier musical influences that had only been hinted at in the band members’ previous material.
Featuring vocalist Brock Lindow (36 Crazyfists), guitarists Tyler Stroetzel & Jon Kita (Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Boston based Session Drummer), the soaring anthemic choruses, harmonized dual guitar attack and gut-punch breakdowns that listeners have come to expect, still remain. Alongside them, dynamic songwriting and nuanced vocal performance that recalls the visceral nature of the 90’s grunge era, the lushness of the hazy synth soundscapes that defined the 1980’s, and is further punctuated by a modern production approach that sacrifices nothing in the pursuit of those results from start to finish.
