Well thats a wrap ..
After 2 weeks of testing it looks like it stabilized and it is indeed feasible to run a Heltec V4 on small solar panels given a 75% sun ratio during the day. Here is the graph for the past 2 weeks.

The V2 Solar Tree Meshtastic/Meshcore Node is out there doing its thing. Switched from bright yellow to army green for better camouflage and added air gap standoffs to prevent heat issues. Simple changes, big performance boost. ☀️🔋

Today I updated the Solar Tree Node by adding Schottky Diodes (amzn.to/4sW7sNw) to the positive wires from the solar panels. I did this after someone (@VK3TWO) pointed out that the panels not in the sun will bleed power from the panel that is in the sun. Will let you know how it goes !
