In case you missed September's beautiful colorway, it's a vibrant colorway that screams "AUTUMN IS HERE!" The #yarnclub colorway is a rich emerald and kelly green, with golden orange, rich reds, and sunny yellow. The colorway is inspired by a Black figure in a nativity scene, most likely the magi Balthazar. The yarn base is merino in a plump Aran weight yarn, so it's nice and lush and will work up quickly. You'll get the usual goodies in this package and a write-up on our special figure.

August's #yarnclub colorway was a beautiful teal, grey blue, and fawn/chestnut brown mix with a splash of ecru. It was based on a beautiful Black figure who was one of the magi that was portrayed in a Dutch painting of the nativity scene. The figure's robe has a really cool scene painted on his shoulder which inspired this month's colorway. Packages contained a skein of 100% merino in DK/multi-ply (210m/100g). Along with that and the write-up of the figure and some pattern ideas, each package contained a cute coaster to remind everyone to take some time out for a beverage and relax.

July's #yarnclub colorway is a lovely variegated blend of purple, pink, and indigo that is inspired by a 15th century image of Ethiopian Queen Candace. It's not often that you find purple and pink clothing on a figure in a medieval manuscript so this is a special find. The yarn for July is 100% merino in DK/4-ply and the length is 210/100g. Each package comes with the usual write-up on the figure, pattern ideas, and this month comes with a specialty tea bag so you can relax and take some time out for you.

June's #yarnclub colorway is a vibrant neon rainbow that is inspired by a 1550s tapestry needlework image of King Balthazar. I gave the colors in his outfit a boost by creating a neon rainbow and added some black specks to white areas to create some depth and dimension. These are made on 100% merino in fingering/sock weight yarn and clock in at 400m/100g. Each package comes with the usual write-up on the figure, pattern ideas, and this month comes with a little wooden #pride ornament.

May's monthly #yarnclub colorway was based on a beautiful image of King Balthazar in a late medieval painting. His colorway was mainly blue and teal with some salmon, so that provided some great inspiration to create a softer palette of light blue-grey with soft teal mixed with some salmon specks. The vibes are of both a cloudy sky and the sea. I've called this one "Seafoam Whisper" because it's very sea-like and subtle like a whisper, but it still speaks to you! This base is merino/nylon in sock weight yarn so it will make some nice projects.

Almost forgot to show you all April's monthly #yarnclub colorway. A beautiful speckled yarn that has viscose in it for a textured look. Our inspiration was this beautiful Black/brown figure who was painted in the mid 19th century, and we learned more about him and the painter (a woman no less, who used a pseudonym) in April's packages. Anyway, I thought you all would like to see a pretty pic and our lovely inspiration. I can't believe we are almost in May already!!

Some pretty pics of March's monthly #yarnclub colorway. A blast of green. It's a beautiful tonal green w/ blue undertones, and is called "Golden Grace Green." March's package comes w/ a bonus little mini skein of suri silk haze. Pretty eh? This is based on a 19thc image of an Afro-European young lady. As always, there is a write-up on our figure and a couple of pattern suggestions, but I'm starting to realize that part of the fun for this community is finding patterns to work with the yarn. I love love love seeing creations.
